Hi all.

Ordered Defender blades from Rimmer Bros and unfortunately they don't fit on the arms - has anyone else done this mod to help the wiper motor out a little? If so, where did you get your blades from?

Cheers.

I have these fitted (ebay item 261094541280 ) 2 x Bosch 14" works slightly better as less drag on screen and no silly overhang on passenger side

Has anyone tried the single blade style wipers such as these

Have built in washer to connect hoses to, although the ones that they say fit Cerberas are 16" length, which may be better to use 14" as mentioned above if it helps the motor out

The current ones I have, which the garage swapped on for an MOT, stick after a couple of swipes so looking to get something happier for the car (*and the rain!)

Had these on mine, worked well but the passenger side didn't fully wrap around the left side of the screen. Wasn't a major problem but just aniggle I didn't like.

I fitted these to mine the last time I changed them (a few years back) and I'll be reverting to the old type when I next change them!

I don't know what it is but these flat blades tend to not do such a good job and often jump and judder, and miss parts of the screen.

Had I been driving mine more in the last year, I'd have already changed back.

It's only my opinion but the flat ones were rubbish!!

Cheers

Thanks guys for the replies.

I asked Nils on here about his, as he has some on his Cerbera, and he gave them a glowing review before I popped back here to check, so had bought them anyway

Will try them out and post back how they get on!

I had put these on my dads cerb a few years ago, they work ok but currently on my cerb I also have the flay wipers but the 16" on passenger side overhang and dont wrap on the edges.

I'll be converting next to the Michelin Stealth hybrid blades during my next service (prob 2x 15" as thats the smallest size they do)

So I fitted them on Sunday and actually they're a significant improvement on the old style Bosche ones that were fitted

Here's some feedback for anyone else considering

Pros:

- The water jets are very good - water actually comes out of 4 places and properly wets the window (*rather than dribbling a few drops with the standard hose ones, or dribbling a little better with the clip on jets I had on before from another 3rd party TVR supplier)

- They look pretty good and 'modern'

- Drivers side works perfectly

Cons:

- They're a little bit 'hand made', in that it looks like the water jet mechanism is glued on to orginal single blade wiper blades

- The passenger side overhangs, and doesn't bend to fit the far corner of the window (see photo) as mentioned above. Not the end of the world for me as it's most important for the driver to see properly and 80% of the window is covered properly, but the OCD crowd will be annoyed with this

I tried flat blades a few years ago and they where pants ended up replacing the whole lot with arms and blades from Leven the new springs made all the difference and they have cleared properly ever since you just need to make sure that the screen is wet before you activate them as they grip like limpets!
