Alloy Radiator - Lower mount rubbers
Discussion
Pulled out my old radiator last night in preparation to fit the alloy one from Radtec and i noticed that I didnt have any lower grommets like these.
Cant guarantee i didn't lose these when i had the radiator out to refurb the engine bay, but i didnt notice them. So my question is what purpose do they serve? Do they go round the lower pegs that locate into the holes in the fiberglass? Do they perform a shock absorber function so the radiator isnt mounted directly to the body?
Obviously i don't object to the few pence to buy them, i was just wanting to put it back together for the weekend. If i know what purpose they are serving i can fashion something similar with bits from a local shop.
Thanks
Pete

Once you know the size there just standard rubber grommets that you can get locally, or a assortment of sizes like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/111601928512?limghl...
Those ones didn't fit the hole in the body of mine. I bought these from ebay. They needed a bit of trimming but works great.

if you want my 2p worth i had a radtec alloy rad put all new mounts and in two weeks it was leaking i got another one and left the rubbers out and its still fine after two years ,i think it holds the rad to tight and as the top is fixed the the shell and the bottom to the chassis the slight twist between the two will split the rad HTH...........so dont fit anything

The tops should be fitted using cotton bushes like these

And looking on powers site these are the bottom ones. They didn't have them listed when i was looking which is a shame.
