Afternoon all,

I've just placed an order for a new rad from aaron. They've currently got a waiting list of about two weeks but from what I've read they're worth waiting for. Also they gave a very favourable price simply for mentioning PistonHeads. Just over 300 quid delivered.

Cheers

Have had dealings with Aarons previously and although after i ordered it i had to cancel (within minutes of ordering) as i had found a copper cored rad which i prefer over alloy. They were very undersdtanding and happy to oblige, great traditional customer service

Fitted three years ago and still looks like new.
No problems.

Top tip.
When refitting be mindful not to induce stress when tightening up
The bobbin mounts. Also new rubber bobbins appear too stiff, I drilled
Relief holes in 'em and fitted nyloc nuts with penny washers and didn't
Tighten fully, to allow for extra torsional movement.

A top tip indeed, thanks for that. I've got new bobbins ready and waiting so I'll mod them as you describe.

Cheers

Hi all,

I shall be picking my new rad up from Gerald at Aaron Rads this week.
The reduced price is now finished and the price has gone up to £350 all in, which is still a good deal.

Website if your interested http://www.aaronradiator.co.uk/catalog/TVR_Radiato... they are based in South London, near Selhust Park Football Ground, Crystal Palace.

Phoned yesterday for a replacement rad and was quoted £350+vat for a standard unit, or £410+vat with a shroud.

So no longer any different from most other suppliers?

I'll be buying a shrouded unit from Powers at a better price.

I hope I don't drop anybody in it for saying this but I ended up ordering mine only last Monday as the rads were on order and then holidays got in the way. I paid £330 all in for simply mentioning PistonHeads as advised by others on here. Perhaps try again and see what they say.

Cheers

Ian,

Was that with, or without a shroud?

Thanks

I paid just over £300 about 4 months ago (without shroud). Have to say, the radiator was good enough, customer service was great, but the fixings were quite poor. The blanking plug was made out of chocolate and the fixings for the shroud were so poorly made I couldn't use half of them.
