Maybe some other TVRCC members could raise their voices on the TVRCC general forum as i seem to be on my own in that regard.

I'm still looking looking for those £6k to £9k Cerberas, the author of the article must know where they are. Please, if anyone knows him personally could you get him to show me the adverts or where they are posted. Actually, scratch that, I'd rather have a £14k mint condition one, so if he could just point me in it's direction.

I Don't understand why the TVRCC would publish an article which undermines one of their models in this way? I am a TVRCC member as i'm sure others on here are too, and i'm not sure i wan't to support a club that would do this. It seems that some if not all of the other models in the article have been given a healthy estimated price, i wonder if any of their owners have questioned their valuation, i suspect not.

I alway saw the Cerbera as a flagship model, and the AJP engine a great part of the TVR history which makes this car unique.

Is there an AJP club? or a Cebera club? Perhaps this is the way to go? idea
Jealous of the fastest road going Tvr? biggrin

AJP8 is a valued engine, always sought after over the S6 versions of the Cerbera.
teacher Definitely not true for many of us Cerb owners! I for one did not want an AJP V8 and money had nothing to do with it. It's a matter of personal taste, nothing else. By the way, almost six years of ownership and no issues with the S6. Loving it.
I'm not dissing the s6 based cars, with5 year warranties available it's a valid choice that makes sense and you really don't miss much on performance of any other the cars, minutely faster on a 'kin fast cars is unnoticeable in general driving.

However, I've been an owner for 9 years, a keen researcher for two years before that, the v8 has always been popular over the s6, it's just the way it is with the historical v8 muscle car influence.

Hello All,

I must say that i am upset at the response to my article in the 'Sprint' magazine, 'What's my TVR Worth'

The article was written with great care and research, excepting for the inserted table of valuations, of which I had no knowledge or input. So therefore I cannot comment on that part of the article.

I feel that it is a shame that the article has been trashed because of this, when its intention was to be of use to owners.

How could under valuing something so blatantly be of any use to an owner. All you had to do was type 'TVR Cerbera for sale' in to Google and you would have seen how far off the mark you were. Blaming someone else for the stats doesn't really help.

Are you having a laugh? Seriously?
The most important part of the article ultimately is the rough valuations part and yet you had no knowledge or input to it ? God help us, my 13 year old daughter could have put all that information together with reasonable real world reality.

So now we know the valuations are not your work, I'd be really interested in your take on them. Do you think they are a fair representation of real world Cerbera values?

I could not possibly comment on the valuations, as it is not something that I have researched or knowledge of.

So you are saying that after all the 'great care and research' you put into your article you couldn't possibly form an opinion on some general valuations. Sounds like a cop out to me.

Ok, looking at the valuations given in respect to the Chimaera as I own one, I would say that IMHO they look reasonable.

My intent on writing the article, was to help owners assess the value of their own cars, not to give valuations on them.
