No point asking RAMOND because he couldn't possibly give an opinion or straight answer.

That is very unfair!! I have no idea as to who or why the insertion was made, as I was not consulted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Don't understand why the TVRCC would publish an article which undermines one of their models in this way? I am a TVRCC member as i'm sure others on here are too, and i'm not sure i wan't to support a club that would do this. It seems that some if not all of the other models in the article have been given a healthy estimated price, i wonder if any of their owners have questioned their valuation, i suspect not.

I alway saw the Cerbera as a flagship model, and the AJP engine a great part of the TVR history which makes this car unique.

Is there an AJP club? or a Cebera club? Perhaps this is the way to go? idea
Jealous of the fastest road going Tvr? biggrin

I simply asked if you thought that the Cerbera valuations were fair. I wasn't trying to get a definitive answer that you would be held to or quoted on. I am simply asking for your opinion, nothing more. I simply can't believe that as a TVR owner, deputy regional organiser and contributor to the TVR club magazine that you don't have an opinion. So again, do you think the Cerbera values are fair?

I think we need to give RAMOND a break, he has allready stated that he did'nt put the valuations in the article, but if i were RAYMOND i would be straight on the blower to the editor to find out who did, as i'm sure he is!

IMO No, I would have thought that they would have been valued higher than the valuations quoted.

AJP8 is a valued engine, always sought after over the S6 versions of the Cerbera.
teacher Definitely not true for many of us Cerb owners! I for one did not want an AJP V8 and money had nothing to do with it. It's a matter of personal taste, nothing else. By the way, almost six years of ownership and no issues with the S6. Loving it.
I wouldn't say many.. The Cerb is all about the AJP, that is what it was designed for. However, the S6 is in itself a decent car.

My intent on writing the article, was to help owners assess the value of their own cars, not to give valuations on them.

Thanks for that,

I just wanted to make it clear on here, that although I was the author of the article, I take no responsibility for the valuations insert.

Thankyou for your opinion. I'm sure you can understand peoples reactions to the valuations because these numbers will be thrown around for sometime to come. So to those who don't follow the marque as closely they maybe regarded as the basis of real valuations as they were the work of the official club magazine. At least now it's obvious that even the author of the article doesn't agree with the valuations. That really is poor work by Sprint.

Oh, I see. So anyone else who read that article was just supposed to ignore those quite frankly pathetic valuations as they were meant for owners only? What a pile of crap. I'm now very glad I didn't bother to renew my subs.

I'm off out for a drive in my worthless Tvr to cheer myself up....

What do you not understand about the fact that I was not responsible for the valuations insert. Give me flac about the article if you wish and I will address them, but please, not for what I'm not responsible for.

So you didn't proof read your own article before it went to print?

I never have that privilege, possibly because of the limited timescale.
