Glow on a full car is a mission...... and very expensive. But looks amazing
OK, I think I'll scale back my ambitions a touch. How about the GC-47 equivalent, is that likely to be practical? I realise I'm a bit late to the party, but it does look really good on the DYC site.

As anyone who has seen my car in person will attest, it looks absolutely absurd, the front/roof/rear are completely different colours. My theory is that someone did a front end respray with some pink paint they happened to have lying around.

The road rash means it now looks like it has measles.

One option I'm considering is a colour change by Alan at Matt-Pack.co.uk

Seems like a cost effective option, any thoughts?

Rosso pearl is a great colour depending on who painted it as it has a dye in the basecoat which comes to life with someone that can apply lacquer very heavy without it running. I am not scared of it as I have painted dozens of Rosso cars. A good alternative is a 3 stage pearl, Ferrari Monza red which is a more stable colour than Rosso and will not fade to pink.

P15TVR is probably my favourite colour ever, but I can't afford a proper colour change - that would cost more than I paid for my car.

So that is why I'm looking at other options, I don't care if it has a limited life, chances are it will last longer than I can keep my car in one piece.

GC47 is nice, most go for the RL71. But remember, DYC do not invent anything. They just call cyan-purple chameleon 'Alien GC-47' to make it sound cool and new, but we've been painting TVR's in it for 20 years lol. Anthony went for the blue-puple (RL-71) dark/subtle version with a satin finish.

It looked good, but I'd prefer something brighter, so Cyan-Purple is my preference.

My car is currently on axle stands, but I'm hoping to bring it up to you in October after DN13.

Next colour change mine is going rear number plate yellow. Life's too short for subtle in TVRs..... hehe
