Thats Simon James' car I think. Assume he traded it in. I dont know much about the car but dont think Simon had any major issues. He did change the lights to Lupo ones.

Whos Simon James does he get on here? I wouldn't mind having a chat with him I'm interested in going to see it.

Simon got back to me with a load of info the garage in question is selling the car on his behalf. He isn't sure if the engine has had a rebuild but with 60k on the clock its either had one or he got lucky and got a decent engine.

The only point he rasies which concerns me is the fact that The outriggers need a good wire brushing and waxoyling – the original powder coating has disappeared. Im going to try and get down to have a look and drive her asap it about 150 miles from me so need to arrange that.

Just be a bit careful with the outriggers. I once nearly bought a mate's Griff and had a really good look at the chassis with the car on a ramp. It was a bit rusty but everything you could see was solid enough. I ended up not buying it (not cos of the chassis) and it eventually went over to a chap in Holland. The new owner sent us a picture 6 months later having lifted the body for a refurb, and almost every bit of the outriggers which you couldn't see or get to because they were hidden by the body was non-existent!

Not saying they're all like that but at 60k unless the outriggers have been done, or the chassis has been well cared for and frequently checked and treated, the likelihood is it'll need some work before too long.

Yup, I speak from experience, it's the hidden tops, especially at the corners of the outriggers
