Possibly a repost but is it possible to retrofit one of these to a Cerb? Might help come MOT time... wink

Actually I've been thinking about how possible it is to do this for real (as mine is de-catted)

Seeing as I have been reprogramming my ECU for lower fan temperatures it should be possible to program a ROM with a very lean mapping just for getting through MOTs etc.

As far as I understand there are three maps:

- Basic Fuel Map (Throttle position sensor versus Fuel)
- Basic Ignition Map (Throttle position sensor versus Speed Ign)
- Adaptive Map (advance or not based on realtime adjustment using Lamdas and fuel richness like these)

So one would need to read the Fuel map from your car using Easimap, adjust these to lower levels, and reload

Anyone tried anything similar?

Example - TPS vs Speed Ign map

My car goes in for a service before the mot otherwise the handbrake wont pass. At the same time the cats go back in, then after the mot come out again. Works fine for me, never have an issue with emissions. Reason I take the cats out is because of the heat buildup in the cabin, gearbox and clutch with them in.
