Are there any other Cerbs in the Plymouth/South Devon area? I've had the car three and a half years now and never seen another cerb locally! tumbleweed

I'm out in mine most weekends and the decal on the button to flash my lights looks almost new compared to the others and this is playing havoc with my OCD!..... I'm gonna have to start flashing porsches at this rate! bounce

Where are you all? Am I the only one?

Hi Matt,

I think we met last summer at St Mawgan at the 'Bowgie event' yours is the green cerb if i recall. I'm the guy with the red one with the aftermarket grille.

How you doing! I can't believe how how uncommon these cars are down here? Someone else mentioned to me that there is a yellow one flying around also but i have never seen it! sonar I only know of 4 that are west of Exeter, thats your good self, your R.O. With a blue one, this elusive yellow one and me, i'm out most weekends in mine and in the week i travel all over Cornwall and Devon and in three years i've only seen 3 Chimp's, and 1Griff out and about. Surely there are more than that. It sounds like there is one on every street up Doncaster way! party

While the exclusivity is quite nice it would be nice to know a few locals to exchange tales of woe and exitement with. beerSomeone came up to me in sainsbury's car park the other day and said "Wow that is a lovely car, is it an MX5" i nearly choked on me scotch egg! Then I explained that it was a "British TVR".......... The general public need educating, we need to get these cars seen! driving

Simon.

Hi Simon,

Yes that's me sir, they are a rare breed indeed I've only ever seen 4 in total at the local club meets.

Chap in St Austell has a black 4.2 and I think he works for Mill Auto or Euro car parts cant remember which !!

How's yours going, hope she's been behaving ??

Matt

Whilst I am not in Plymouth anymore and the cerb is with me in Australia I can second the "exclusive" part. I am guessing that the blue cerb you refer to is Andy honey from the Cornwall club? There are a few more about, but rare to see them out. Are you the guy in devonport?

Hi Matt, thought it was you, yeah all good, i have a list of things i need to do to the car but whenever i get time to do anything to it, I end up taking it out for a spin instead!..... Bit of a catch 22 situation!
I need to do the tappets over the winter. And have a look at the bendix on my starter motor as sometimes it doesn't catch and you can hear it spinning against the flywheel, sounds bloody horrible when it happens, I'm hoping there is some sort of adjustment on the fixing points.

Do you ever hook yours up to a laptop? I bought an old laptop and got it all connected then got all scared and didn't dare change anything, i was going to reset the adaptives but lost my bottle at the last minute and put it all away in the cupboard and haven't touched it since...... If it aint broke don't fix it ! Ha ha.

Has the guy in St Austell still got his? I remember seeing a black one up for sale in St Austell 2 or 3 years ago, have you seen him since then?

How your going? All good i hope!

Regards, Simon.

Hi there Ryan,

Yes thats me, hope you are well Ryan. I met Andy at a TVR meet in Cornwall, seems like a nice fella.

I'll never forget that day at the Pentille hill climb event when you kindly showed me around your Cerb, We got there mid afternoon in the pouring rain with the kids in our little 'A' class merc, everyone else was leaving, they charged us forty odd quid on the gate, we spent fifteen minutes looking at your car then left, our car was parked in a field outside the event, when we got there the car wouldn't start and when it finally did we still had to push it cause it was stuck in the mud. I was public enemy No.1 for ages after that! Ha ha.

Hope you kept your Cerb well hidden on Saturday, those Ausie's love to beat us Limeys! Haha

Ahoy there Mr Conkers! Nice to erm...... Pistonheads you?

What flavour of Cerb do you have? We have green, red, blue, an elusive Yellow and possibly a black...... We need a pink a brown and a white, then we have the full snooker set!
Do you ever venture west?

Regards, Simon.

Hi Jonathan,
Wow great vid, looked like a bit of a hairy moment just before the 2 minute mark? Is that some kind of scoop you have on your bonnet? Is it for cooling?
Regards, Simon.

Thanks Simon,

Previous owner had central TVR install the scoop, it doesn't really aid cooling, and to be honest it's not really my cup of tea.

I bought the Cerb because it has an immaculate solid chassis, full engine rebuild from straight six and a full leather restoration amongst other upgrades, lights etc...

Plan was to change bonnet down the line back to its original glory!
