Throttle cable snapped
Discussion
Dont suppose anyone has instructions with maybe the odd picture for changing the throttle cable on a Speed six Cerbera do they? I was half a mile from home after an amazing drive out on Sunday when my pedal suddenly dropped to the floor.
I've ordered a new cable which is due to arrive tomorrow but not very confident yet and messing about with the TVR as I don't know where everything is yet! Some guys on the Cerb facebook group have kindly given me a link to a general speed six set of instructions but apparently the Cerbera is slightly different to the Tuscans, Sagaris' etc.
Can anyone shed any more light and send me some confidence please?
Cheers

sounds like a standard TVR problem of not having a peddal stop, so putting the strain on the cable ends. (your leg effoert is trying to force the end off the cable) On my S I have drilled the bualkhead and fitted a length of studding through, with a freindholding the peddal down to 'fully open' I then ran a nut up the treads to the wheel arch side of the baulkhead then run a nut down from inside and tighten, cut the excess from the whel arch and Bobs your whatever and no more snapped cables.
