Were some of those adults dwarfs?
Contortionists. I've had four adults in mine - fine for me driving as I'm small and have the seat right forward.

The reason the boot is so large is so you can always take all your tools with you.

The one time I removed all the tools from my car, because I was taking it to get the outriggers replaced, one throttle arm came loose and jammed with an open throttle on the M25. Fortunately Zorba_The_Greek was following me and we managed to find an AA mechanic who lent me an Allen key.

If you open the boot right up you can stand in it, which is always useful to get to the shelves on the other side of the garage.

The boot on a Cerb is probably as substantial as a Chim boot

The big boot is very handy. With some ratchet straps and two 19 stone fat blokes in it we managed to keep the wheels in sufficient contact with the rollers to do a power run. Excellent design and admirable foresight Mr Wheeler.

The probability of the starter engaging with the flywheel is inversely proportional to the number of people watching.
Great thread...I can relate to this and I used to pray mine would start when people were watching and you could guarantee it would make that horrible grinding and screeching noise and then struggle to start...

I also learned that when you first get a Cerbera the clutch takes a little bit of getting used to and I always remember going to a pub car meet in mine and the car park was rammed full of people and I was reversing into a spot and I stalled it...everyone just cheered and I wanted the ground to swallow me up!

I took a friends daughter to her prom in mine... You have no idea how much I was praying I didn't a) stall it b) it misbehave etc etc!
