Hey guys,

I'm looking to return to the Cerb fold, and whilst I'd like to try a V8 (my last one was a speed 6) the yellow Speed 6 at Str8 Six has caught my eye. It seems to have had alot of work done and comes with a solid warranty, but does anyone know anything more about the car or its history? Have had a good search and can't find anything bar the previous ads.

Cheers,

Dom

Wow thats pricey for a s6 Cerb although t350s used to be under £20k... For that money you can get a late 4.5. For a bit more a red rose.

Not in the condition that Cerb is in, the couple of V8 Cerbs I have seen in that condition went for mid £30's.

Cheers guys.

It certainly is strong money, and I know it was upfor sale at £18,500 a couple of years ago. Though once you've added in a front end respray, interior retrim, year warranty and the next 12k service its not ridiculous.

Low 20s is my budget and it does seem to be getting harder to find a top example of any engine variant at that price. There's a beautiful sp6 with 6k miles up for £30k!

Gruffalo - have you viewed the car?

Dont assume the warranty is "solid" until you have had the opportunity to test it!!!!!

Yes and it is not overpriced in IMHO, the interior and paint are lovely. The chassis is not new so I would not describe it as so but it is very good, no rust even by the exhausts. IT looks like the previous owner has been diligent with maintaining the chassis, I would estimate that if you clean under it regularly and get under it with some POR-15 or similar to touch up any stone chips it has a minimum of 10 years before you would be looking at a chassis rebuild.

Oh yes and the warranty, I have tested the STR8SIX Warranty as has a close friend when his Tuscans' Clutch failed a few months into ownership, for him it was one phone call and the car was collected later that day and returned with a new clutch in the evening.

As for me I had my engine rebuilt by them and a half time bearing started making some noise about a year after, replaced during a service at no charge so from my immediate experience the warranty is rock solid.

Maybe not so expensive for someone in the end. Cerbs are generally still a bargain. I fail to understand why.

I viewed this car at the weekend and bought it. Will be living up in Aberdeen by the end of the month. It's absolutely mint.
