New car...sort of.
Discussion
Thought it was about time I finally came and said hello to you all.
Bought my Cerbera nearly a year ago and although I'm a member of the TVRCC and various FB TVR groups have not found the time to join on here!
Ive got a 2001 4.5 V8 and aside from a couple of niggles it has been a year of great fun
and if I could work out how to upload photos I would show you all a picture!!

Hello and welcome to what is probably the best forum on Pistonheads.
Photo's are a must, we always like to see what others car are like, mods and bits like that.
If you do get any problems there is a huge depth of technical knowledge available from many of the regular posters, no question (except one you already know the answer to) is a silly question.

Uploading pictures is easy, look at the top of the box you type your post in, there's an upload an image selection, couldn't be easier. Looking forward to the pics.

That's the one! She was a cat D in 2010. It slipped out there for a second and just clipped a jolly unfriendly lamppost with its rear left boot area, just behind the back left wheel. It's still got a small dent in the rear left tail pipe from where it bonked the under body. According to the insurance documents the owner at the time was "avoiding a pot of paint in the road", yeeeees... After that, the owner bought it back from the insurance company, had it repaired and eventually got shot of it. Two owners down the line it ended up looking a bit sorry for itself, that's when I bought it in 2014.
I bought it as an almost non-runner (it would run for literally 5mins and cut out) for £5250. I did many, many little jobs on it to bring it back and there it is now. I haven't had a single problem with it since I fixed everything, apart from I shorted the alternator to the block and damaged the regulator, my fault. Martin very kindly helped me out there with one he had. The best thing about it is the chassis, it's in very good order and I put that down to having been waxed for quite some years. And before his BMW engine decided to throw a rod, it could still convincingly out drag my friends M3 to boot!
When I'm feeling guilty about owning it I sometimes go fishing with it, hence it appears on eBay from time to time. But having said that my life is going a bit better these days and I don't need to sell any more. Which is nice. I love it!
It's a shame it got bonked, because it had an owner, a Ken B. Who had it for many years and I think looked after it well prior to its little excursion from the black stuff.

I absolutely love that car!! I was gutted when I missed it on eBay! I will have to keep an eye out for it if it comes back up for sale :P Also is it you that did the YouTube videos of it? It's sure had some love put into it from the write up and the videos of it!
Thank you, that's very nice to know. Yes the videos of "how to" on the yellow Cerb are me doing some of the jobs that needed doing. I put them up because the chaps on here are so helpful I tried to put something back. There is another video that I haven't uploaded which covers a lot more things that needed doing, just in less detail. I have thought of putting it on YouTube, it's not as generally useful as the other ones. Hi Harry, the specific yellow is Sun Set Pearl, code number R2840. HTH. Jules

Ok I admit I am a bit of a technophobe...my pictures are bigger than 2 meg so it wont let me upload!!
any and all guidance welcome!!
I recommend searching for 'photo resizer windows' or whatever OS you are using.any and all guidance welcome!!
Then to upload I suggest Thumbsnap, with a Twitter account login (you don't have to use Twitter, just open an account).
Try to avoid Photobucket, it is horrible.
And here is the gratuitous Thumbsnap pic
From 1999 or so at Snetterton, I'm with my mate with the Chim, but there is a Cerb behind - anyone recognise it?
