Hi.

I just thought I would say hi.

A few months back I bought a friends Cerbera along with my father in law as a bit of a weekend project we could have a bit of fun in.

When we got it the rear suspension, wishbones etc had been removed for new. Bushes and powder coated along with the exhaust, diff, brakes etc and it was not running.

After trailer in it away it's been fitted with new poly bushes all round along with new Gaz adjustable shocks and after some mucking around is now running and driving (although I have some way to go yet)

Hopefully it will be sorted soon and we can get out and enjoy it.

We are Hampshire based and get out to loads of show in our other cars and are normally at all of the goodwood and Wilton events etc so hope to get the Cerb out in summer so may meet some of you out and about.

I'll post some pics up as I get her sorted for anyone interested.

Thanks

Hi.

Well here we go. The project so far.

This is how we got her.

With no diff, prop, suspension, brakes wishbones etc fitted and rear end on stands.

Engine not running ( fingers crossed)

Started piecing it all back together with new polybushes, drive shafts, droplinks, powdercoated wishbones etc

Got it all back together and rolling after replacing all fluids and swapping the fuel filter and replacing the fuel pipes and got her running (albiet roughly).

Power steering wasnt working but I am pretty sure we have sorted that out now.

next up, lambdas, mot, drivers seat retrim and possibly get some paint work done round the front as there are quite a few little stone chips etc.

Have just picked up some 18in ROTA GTR's that are being referbed and fitted with tyres.

Should be nice when done.

Ill get it out for a buff up this weekend and post some more pics.

Looking great!

Out of interest, what offset wheels did you go for? I also want to get some 18" Rotas but am unsure on the sizing to get, front and back.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

I'm looking forward to getting it on the road.
As for the Rotas they are an offset of 30 so tight but should look great.

Will keep you posted;)

So today's update:

Got the new Lambdas fitted which has hopefully sorted the rough running issue. now starts, runs and revs smoothly (if pretty loud), just got to see how it is under load.

These are now fitted.

Found out why my electric power steering is not working, faulty in line fuse so hope this will be sorted tomorrow once I get a new one.

Pulled it out for a wash as well, comes up well smile

Trial fitted the Rotas.

However currently the fronts are rubbing on lock so it looks like I will be dropping the tyre size down.

They should look great when on and the suspension gets dropped.

Getting there!

I just noticed your username.
Hope you don't mind me raising it but I got mine going head first through a windscreen, not a TVR I hasten to add.

Despite working in security and having a few scrapes in my life, luckily the user name relates to the film.

It's not actually rubbing on full lock but half way through the turn the corner (out side front edge) of tyre scuffs the front of the arch , if that makes sense?

So I sorted the tyre issue and the Rotas are now on with no issues.

Sorted out a charging issue that also caused the rev counter to malfunction (Big Fuse issue.

I have replaced the electric Power steering pump as mine packed up and that's now working fine.

I had to remove one of the front calipers as a nipple had snapped and the brakes are not quite right, so thats off at the machine shop.

Jobs left (at the moment) :

Refit Caliper.
Sort out non opening boot that just stopped working along with wipers so hopefully fuse etc.
get ECU and Lambda's reset.
Engine set up.
4 Wheel alignment.
MOT
Retrim seat bolster.

Getting there.
