Rear anti roll bar bushes
Discussion
Evening all,
Any tips with respect to replacing the bushes? Getting the old ones out was easy enough but aligning the bolts when fitting the new ones is proving to be a right pain in the ar*e. I've slackened off the top damper bolt too so that I can move the support bracket about but I still can't get all holes to align.

Hi Jody,
Yeah both wheels off the ground.
I'm tempted to slightly enlarge the holes in the support bracket to make alignment easier but that said it has been successfully assembled in the past so I guess I shouldn't need to.
I'm sure it'll be just a case of tweeking and aligning and tweeking some more but I spent two hours just on one bush last night.......

I seem to remember when RG polybushed my car about 4 years ago they said they'd fitted some new (at the time), slimmer arb bushes which they said were much easier to fit than the oem ones. The implication being that the standard size can be a bit of a PITA to fit.
Guess who's got the standard size ones then, albeit Powerflex.........m4tti said:
Have you got a 19mm anti roll bar. Only ask as powerflex when I looked only supplied an 18mm and a 22mm +. Is the bush opening up wider than expected.
Mine is a 29mm roll bar I think.I've sussed it now. Patience and a dremmel is the key. There is so much flex in mounting arrangement that it is very difficult to get the alignment right. A slight elongation of the holes was all it needed.
