As per the Wiki for RS-AJP, Valarm in the US sell leads for the Sony and Samsung Android devices that allow data AND charging at the same time

The problem is, the lead is $16.00 and the UK shipping is $15.00 rolleyes

So... I wondered if anyone else wanted to get one and then I can contact them about doing a group buy and ship to the UK, and then the shipping will be hopefully much much cheaper all round wink

If you're interested, post up on this thread and then I will order together in a week or so, and distribute etc. as needed

Regards

Not sure but I would err on the side of No

Valarm make 2 leads that do work

One for Sony phones and tablets

http://shop.valarm.net/collections/cables-connecto...

and one for Samsung phones and tables

http://shop.valarm.net/collections/cables-connecto...

They are quite specific about which models work so please read the above if you are thinking of getting one

Also, we get a discount on the price if we order 5 smile

I wonder if it will work with a Nexus 7? If so, I'm up for one. I'm inclined to try anyway for $16.

Mines would be for a nexus 7 I've tried one lead and not worked.

Maybe get 5 of each and then experiment as for the OTG cables? I’m sure there will be 5 takers for Sony and Samsung use anyway.

Good plan

Total cost for 5 of each plus shipping is $190 and breaks down as follows

Shipping = $45.00 (23.68%) / 10 = $4.50
Samsung = $80.00 (42.10%) / 5 = $16.00
Sony = $65.00 (34.21%) / 5 = $13.00

Totals therefore are:

Samsung = $20.50
Sony = $17.50

Total via PayPal was £137.45 so that works out as

Samsung = £14.83 + UK Postage
Sony = £12.66+ UK Postage

Any duty applied on the package will be split into 10

Those interested just put your name down for the moment, and which one(s) you want and then I will update the thread when they arrive smile

Would like to try Samsung first with an option to change to Sony if that doesn't work? Maybe someone else with a Nexus 7 could do the opposite?

Hey aide

I have but I'm sure I can amend it - what are you thinking?

Also I have a Nexus 7 so can test both when they arrive if nobody else does smile

I can tell you for sure it doesn't work on a Nexus. I bought one to test. It didn't work. Fortunately, I was able to give it to a Cerb owner who is doing a charity rally, so I regard that as my donation!

Remember that over £15 package value you will get customs and vat etc added to the incoming order.........unless the seller lies on the customs form.

Which one doesn't work and which Nexus?
