Holy thread resurrection!

I painted mine off the car, mainly because they had to come off for a refurb.

However, even if they hadn't, I'd have still removed them first, so much easier to mask up and spray on a workbench.

Hahaha your right mate I never even checked the last post... Lol

Always a better job off the car. My last set were done while on. If like me your an OCD man then I wasn't too happy especially as cost the last lot charged (and stated calipers removed?!)

Just got my painting kit from http://www.brakecaliperspecialists.uk. After much debate I've gone for Brembo red. Mine's black with silver spiders. If I can stop driving it long enough I'll have a go at doing them in situ. Will post some pics of the results

Glass Bead blasted, zinc primed, and top coat of choice.

Just some of the work I do at the Lab, can turn them round in a day.

That's all good, apart from the unconventional mounting option.

I'm not perfect, I mounted my tyres backwards once - DOH!

Your meaning about the pipe on upside down arn't you?

I did think about this, but realized once I had the calipers on and didn't think it would make a lot of difference, havn't bled the brakes yet as its still a work in progress.....

Any experiences?

No experience bit I don't think I have ever seen a bleed nipple on the bottom of a calliper before.

I can see that as it stands being nigh on impossible to bleed, brake fluid being heavier than air surely air will get trapped ai the top?

Nice work tofts, so you offer this as a service? Im just getting quotes at the moment for the gold/yellow calipers further up the thread. Is it possible you have the calipers the wrong way around? as in off side on near side and n/s on o/s

For future reference, no the calipers will not bleed like this, shame as i prefer the way it looks. It will not vacuum or pressure bleed, so point proved. Put the pipe on the bottom and everything was dandy.

yes, I do offer it as a service. PM me and we can chat!

Wow this is a thread resurrection indeed - couldn't even remember asking this question and now 11 years later and also still not had them painted. Well now the whole car is stripped down completely - it is time to finally get them painted !!
