Do you use it with or with out a bar?
No bar, just a Cerbera base that levels the seat out. The smaller one did have the impact cushion on for a short time. Will try and grab some pics for you.

For older children (who need a booster seat, rather than a child seat, (say aged 5 to 9), see Cerb pages on Facebook and search "mothercare" for my photo diary on how to make Cerbera booster seats. Uploading photos on Pistonheads is a relative PITA.

Hi there. Im afraid the Cerb isn't going to make it this evening. It has got intermittent oil pressure and I don't want to risk doing any damage to it.

I will still be there and am more than happy to chat about it. I'll be in a blue a yellow rover!
bugger, i was there and had a look round the rover. Didn't see this post tho. I was the guy with the little one and wife in tow.

Hi Prizam,

I had the same reasons as you for going to the Cerb, having has 2 seater TVR's before but now a family man I needed to convince the mrs we needed another Practical family car smile

I have 4 year old twins and they simply don't fit with any child seat Ive tried behind me in the drivers seat and Im 6ft, so I made my own in the end, using the booster seats from 'Home Bargains' at £5.99 each, i basically shortened them, then sat them on some non slip matting and now both my kids fit in perfectly and we had our first family trip out in it last weekend and they loved it, albeit with iPads and headphones on smile - do it you won't regret it.

Here's a pic of the finished seats, complete with biscuit crumbs!

Fantastic, looks great! Suspect i will need a proper childs seat for a bit. But that can go behind the passenger seat for now.

Rather than the usual "Selling my TVr because it never gets used", i am selling my Chim... that never gets used, to get a Cerb. With more seats so that it will get used.

I want a car that can be used for family outings, something the kids will remember fondly and eventually become an heirloom. i guess.

So...

4.2 or 4.5 ? Much reliability differences between them? I think i want a V8.

Anyone close to Reading that will let me have a poke about their Cerb and take me out for a drive?

Will a child seat fit in the rear?

Sorry I missed you the other week.

I seem to have solved my oil problem so I am happy to talk Cerbs with you and go for a run out sometime.
The Oxford section of the TVR car club meet in Little Milton on the second Thursday of the month. Which would be the 8th this month. I should be there and there may be a couple of other Cerb owners.

I swapped my Tuscan for a 4.2 Cerb 5 years ago to accommodate my kids (now 6 and 9). They LOVE going out in the TVR, any excuse to go for a blast.

I used Recaro Start seats bought from Cerb owners on here (one from Fubar, the other I can't remember but is a well know PHer). The eldest now sits on a booster in the front and I've adapted a booster ala Wazadaza for the youngest. As a result I have 2 Recaro Starts sat in the garage not being used. If anyone wants them they're welcome to them in exchange for a couple of beer tokens. I have to say they don't look great (one is a shocking blue pattern, the other is black and grey but the kids have worn a hole in one of the arms). Neither has been in a an accident whilst I've had them and I was assured by the previous owners that they were fine).

I'm in Hartley Wintney near Fleet in Hampshire. If anyone is interested drop me a PM

Yes please, I'm away for work for a few days, back on Tuesday, if you are happy to wait until then.

Only need one.

Yep, no particular hurry. They've been sat in the loft in the garage for a couple of months now! PM me and I'll send you pics of both the blue and the black seats.

Would you be able to collect as they're pretty bulky and I'd rather not have to post them ast hat would probably cost more than they're worth!

Managed to use the Chimaera a couple time in the last week. And i love it!

With Cerbera's having a roof, does the price change as much as the chim with the seasons?

Wondering if its worth holding on until the spring now and getting a few jobs completed between now and selling.

I am in Marlow and happy to take you out for a spin, are you around over the bank holiday weekend?
I'm not Prizam but am in the same position of looking for a cerb. If you're not too busy taking Prizam out I'd be really grateful to go for a quick spin. I work in Marlow. Let me know, cheers!
