Hi all, I'm doing some engine tlc and giving a good clean, repaint, timing chain etc and have found that my dipstick tube (the s/s pipe) really doesn't sit well. Basically when I have undone the cover screw it sprung upwards and doesn't align (without using force) with any of the cover screws. Can anyone post a pic of the from cover showing the proper location for it? Cheers Ryan

On mine it is secured by the lower of the two bolts it is imbetween in your pic, such that the tube is horizontal.

I am replacing the 1/2" Olive at the sump end in order to try to resolve a leak.

Here is where it is secured on my car

And for what it's worth, here is the dipstick fully seated, the olive fits flush with the end of the tube

Ideal, thanks! Do you have a pic of the securing tab as mine looks to have been bent out of shape for some reason...
