Fixing Types & Sizes
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm trying to get various bits and pieces sorted in readiness for the car coming back from trim and final reassembly of the remaining bits of the re-build.
Can someone please confirm the types and sizes of the fixings used to hold the various engine bay trim panels in place.
It's a relatively minor thing, but I just like to be organised and ensure that the right fixings get used, rather than something convenient from a parts bin.
Thanks
Mark

M6. Cup washers etc. Although might make more sense to use button head and do away with the cup washer.
Thanks for that, are they all the same length, around 30mm?I had the same idea of using stainless flanged button head fixings with neoprene washers.

'Cross Dowel Bolts' look ideal but I can't find them in stainless... yet.

How about button heads? As it's a very low stress application, you could even use these funky fellows.

I've used them funky fellows to hold my door cards on. As it's a very low stress application, you could even use these funky fellows.
