Cerbera upgrades? Wiper motor, window motor, dials?
Discussion
Hi guys,
Just getting used to my recently purchased Cerbera 4.2.
I noticed the wipers are quite slow, and so are the windows. Has anyone upgraded the motors on these?
I found this potential wiper upgrade motor. Anyone have experience with it?

I also saw a few very nice dial modifications to replace the iffy ones. Is there a current source for new dials that match the looks?

Badly performing window motors (as well as any problems with doors and windows opening) tend to be due to corroded connectors inside the doors. TVR didn't use waterproof ones and they suffer over the years. Taking the door cards off and cleaning or preferably replacing the connectors with waterproof ones, will help to make this sort of issue go away.
The wiper motor is excellent and it works as fast as you would expect a wiper to work even on a dry windscreen.... although on a dry screen the swipe back can sometimes be a bit reluctant.
But I had to dismantle mine and bolt it in place from inside the motor in order for it to fit to the gearbox because of the bolt holes being different sizes on the motor and gearbox casing.
Every cerbera window I've ever experienced has been painfully slow. It could be connectors, or it could be drag against the felt channel.
When you get out of the car, make sure after you open the door that you press the window up button. The self raising and lowering is on a timer rather than being calibrated against distance or relying on a sensor, so if you open and close the door a few times in a row expect to see a gap of a couple of mm form between the window and the roof. Even a tiny gap can let a decent amount of water in.
Take the door cards off, replace the connectors and/or try to de-fluff or de-scum the felt channel that the glass runs in. Taking the door cards off takes just a moment, but replacing that felt... well, the laughter at TVR Power when I said I was going to try it told me everything I needed to know.
I've not gotten around to doing that yet, chiefly because it looks to be a very frustrating job and for the last year I've been happy just pressing the window up button when I get out of the car to make sure the window is all of the way up.

The felt channel is easy to replace. You can buy the rubber/felt insert from Woolies http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/c-341-single-track.a... and you just prise out the old strip and push in the new one.Except said:
Thanks for all the tips.
The ventilation system... Are there examples of people who have done that?
And I've seen some great dial replacements. Anyone know where to buy these improved dials? Like the temp gauge.

Link will take you to digital gauge for the standard values of oil pressure and water temp. The alternatives are there oil temp/water temp so have a look around but adapters are needed for those I believe. Also other colours available
