The Cerbera was one of the cars featured 'Women talking about cars' on Radio 4 this evening. This evening the guest was Dawn French who turns out to have a not dissimilar car owning history to me having owned a Cortina and a Morris Minor prior to a Cerb. What's the total horsepower of those three then, about 400bhp I think.

You must have a good Cerb to get to that number hehe

Funny how both the low powered cars are still somewhat treasured if out of their depth on modern roads these days. frown
Much respect to Dawn French, did she mention it or the driving experience at all?

Cheers Mac ! thumbup

I liked the way she said that Clarkson recommended it to her.
It was his video that persuaded me into getting one wink

Get a listen to this show well worth it, "very loud, you cannot here the radio, Too fast really." I like the fact she bought it to have "a mad moment, 0-60 in under for seconds"

I think we all own our cars for the same reasons!

That video alone must have persuaded quite a few of us to buy our cherished Cerberas Paul

Wheeler Dealers plus Clarkson's "sprint off" where the Cerb won did it for me! I didn't think I could afford one but the chance came up, I immediately dropped everything, drove 3.5 hours and bought the thing in the rain - just like that!

I enjoyed that smile

It was the Clarkson video that made me sit up and take notice, I thought it was a miracle that any Brit car compnies existed at all at that time let alone produce something as unbelievable and as fast as the Cerb, I knew I had to own a Tvr from that day on.

I received the VHS showing the Cerbera drag race for either my 5th or 6th birthday, it stuck in my mind forever. At 21 I bought my first Cerbera.

One of my old bosses drove the cerbera in the claskson vid, They had two runs and the porsche won the 1st run. Clarkson was not impressed and asked for another run, My old boss got a good launch in the cerbera and the rest is history smile

That must have been one special Cerb, given the time it did, with the 57 drivers I've heard of that were in it at the time. hehe

Oh, and Bob, when Ms. French said she had to have her arse measured for the fit I think she was talking about her car, not her husband !
(butt, you never know laugh)
