Well the good news is my Cerb passed it's MOT today bounce

It was flagged up as having:

Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively (8.2.2)
Windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid (8.2.3)

At the moment I have the single 16" 1 piece blades fitted with jets built into the top of them like this, but obviously as today has proven these are not particularly MOT friendly

Anyone got recommendations for which ones are MOT friendly and a system that will actually spray the windscreen with enough water for them to be happy?

I might have to do the dredded Cerbera scuttle water jet conversion as well - just to keep them happy next year!

So those are their advisories? If you're happy with the washer function I'd just ignore their esteemed advice.

Really difficult to reply to this ridiculous criticism without heaping a pile of 'jobsworth' abuse so I'll just say

The item about insufficient washer liquid is an MoT fail point usually, not an advisory.

I had bosch wipers for a while but they were useless after less than 2 yrs, not worth the extra money IMHO. I just buy the cheapest there are and change them every year if need be.

Thanks guys - so sounds like Leven is the way to go - even with a new pair each year it's an easy thing to replace and a good price +1

Hi Alex

Glad you got a pass

All you need to do is add a non-return valve, then all will be ok

Good thing is they cost nothing i.e. £3

Dumb question, is it the 16's for the cerb? Says only griff/chim and Tuscan. My wipers hardly touch my screen. I just drive faster so it runs off quicker wink

Don't waste that post!

In all fairness what I'm saying is that it is worth paying attention to people who post infrequently as they probably exercise a degree of self editing

As well as adding the non-return valve, the other thing I did was rediscover Rain-X. What an amazing difference that makes!

The need to use the wipers is much reduced, and when you do their efficacy and smooth operation is considerably improved.
