Hi all,

Im after a couple of bits for the cerbera engine that we are having rebuilt, and was wondering if anyone knew part numbers and sources for the following:

Timing Chain
Timing Chain Tensioner
Big End Bearings
The alloy rod that connects the bonnet opening mechanism to the latch. (Got damaged in the process of remving the engine!! frown)

Thanks in advance!

No one knows, dealer or Indi only part.

Unless you want to spend hours at your local friendly Motor Factors.

I'm on the case, there's a couple of us trying to source them.

I've just got back from my very helpful motor factors, he's getting a few in that are possibilities to see if any are right.

Watch this space.

Looks like I've matched the track rod ENDS, will fit to double check but so far, other than being slightly shorter on the rod itself they are spot on. biggrin

Oh, and they're about £10 each. yes

I will do, when I'm happy that they're right. I don't want to post what they're from in case they're not right and I get agro, or worse still they are dangerous!

Just been into Evans Halshaw with Coil Pack part numbers 413545061 and N92512. Parts guru had no idea and stated that these were not Citroen part numbers. Can anyone shead any light on this and perhaps come up with the Citroen part number ? banghead The number should be a combination of three to four letters and numbers after it.

Front lower ball joint - from this thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=449998

Yep, these are Jag items, as used on the XJ6, amongst others, part no.: CAC9937 and Quinton Hazel: QSJ1308S

You do need to 'modify' the new item.

To clear the welds on the wishbone, the edges of the flange on the balljoint are ground away at an angle. here are a couple of pics:

Original Ball joint, note chamfer:

New Ball joint as you buy it:

Modified flange to clear welds on wishbone:

Prices range from £21 a pair to £30 each.

Coil packs also available from German, Swedish, French (GSF Car Parts). Their part #N92512 @ £21.60 each + VAT. The box says Citroen BX, XM, Xantia & ZX as well as Fiat Ulisse/Ducato, Lancia monospace 2 & Peugeot 205/306/309/405/605/606! Spoilt for choice then if you're struggling to source them! There must be a common Citroen number to all these I agree - give them the info here - they surely must be able to match what appears to be a universal part - failing that get GSF to ship it to you? biggrin

Try these people: http://www.thinkauto.com/index.html

Best bet is to 'phone them.

How about this one:

OC5193-10
COOLER 19ROW 230MM 5/8BSP MALE
£85.31 (Excluding VAT at 17.5%)

Bit wider, not sure, without looking how much free space you have around the cooler.

Here are some brake bits, basically overhaul kit for standard 4.2 AP Racing calipers, I know some codes have been posted before, but I thought I'd add these as basically the J or K suffix is the size, so you can order a combination to make up the number of seals you need. Each piston has 2 seals, so front is 4 piston, 2 x 1 5/8" pistons and 2 x 1 1/5" pistons and rear is 2 piston 2 x 1 1/5" piston. And a seal kit, is per caliper.

Description: Brake seal kits Details: AP Racing CP4519-K 1 5/8" Unit cost: £8.24 No. required: 2 Total: £16.48

Description: Brake seal kits Details: AP Racing CP4519-JJ 1 1/5" Unit cost: £13.43 No. required: 2 Total: £26.86

Description: Brake Bleed screws Details: AP Racing CP3720-173 Unit cost: £2.47 No. required: 8 Total: £19.76

Description: Brake fluid Details: AP Racing CP4510-20 Dot 5.1, 500ml Unit cost: £4.52

All the above were suppled by BG Developments or Shop4Brakes, 01527 873716 and were delivered on an overnight courier, excellent service. thumbup
