A lot has been said about the difficulty of rebuilding the AJP water/oil pump assembly. I took mine apart for a small water leak and discovered that it's not that hard to rebuild. The oil pump rotors are available from TVR Power Stores off the shelf. Same part as in the S6 engine too I believe.

The ceramic water seals on the pump are part number IHF14.30.14 from City Seals and Bearings on 01142 435 343

the front bearing (the one you can see behnd the cog with the timing cover off) is part number 6201 from same supplier.

the oil seal which is between the water seal and the front bearing is a 16x28x7

The big O ring is a 95mm x 2mm

I didn't need to disturb the rearward water pump but pretty sure the seal etc will be the same. Getting the front impeller off was easy enough with a puller, just warmed it up a bit and it slid off easy enough. looking at the design it would not be rocket science to make new impellers anyway. The vanes are just straight plates so turning a backplate and welding on vanes would be a possibility although if quantities were required a nice CNC job would be better.
Hi Fatjon,

I think/hope I have the same water leak on my 4.2 Cerb (just purchased) unless it something more serious. Can you remove the water pump/oil pump assembly without removing the engine. (I have access to two post lift). And if so can you give me some pointers on how to do it.

Thanks

Trev.

Hi you will have better luck away from the parts thread. But to get to the pump you'll need to pull engine afaik

The door catch is from a Vauxhall Astra but with an extra bracket on it from tvr. I get them from my local Vauxhall dealer and un pick the bracket and transfer it over. Just give them the part number on it and they will be able to match it up for you.

Hi everyone

I've updated my copy of the parts list to have as much recent information as has been posted (thanks everyone) and fixed a bug that meant the drop-down menu wasn't working [it is now smile].

Let me know if there's any more to add!

AJP 4.5 Coil Packs - German Swedish & French Part number has changed to 925PC009.

I've installed ARC coil packs from Eurocar Parts and it looks like one is faulty. frown

Does anyone know if GSF parts suply Valeo or Bosch coil packs?

RADIATOR COTTON REELS
Rover Mini Exhaust mounts from 1990 onwards.

Halfords new price is about £1.60 including the nuts, however they are not a perfect fit. Fine for the drivers side, but slightly too large diameter for the passenger side.

A word of warning on the Mini mounts also, they use imperial threads so good luck finding replacement nuts these days! laugh

A couple of new ones from me.

Stub axle part numbers are as follows, not alternative but may help you find cheaper ones if you need them.

Was looking at the alternative parts list link, specifically the lower ball joints. The Quinton Hazel: QSJ1308S one I have made by Hi-drive won't fit because the ball is larger as is the rubber boot which is impossible to fit onto the wish bone as its much wider than the hole.

The Delphi TC936 fits perfectly. On my late car it doesn't require any modifications to fit.

It's a bit scary that everything listed there is 2.0 or less.

Opening temp is listed as 80C for QTH134K, looks like the right 120deg angle.

It fits & works perfectly exact size & angles, All for £10!!
FYI some of the "upgrade" kits are set at 74 degree so 2 degrees is nothing to worry about.
