Well done Olly, you beat me to it! If you dont mind hosting it and updating it as we get more part numbers then great. I will put your link in my opening message of this thread so it appears at the top.

not a new owner but lucky I guess, so only a battery in almost two years(ok a couple of upgrades and services) but I think starter motor on way out 99 4.5.
Is there an alternative or alternative parts to repair.

Throttle Pots
previously referenced as Ford parts 1K15A or E1586
these nos not known to Ford
However have just bought a pair from TVR and they had
E2936 marked on them.
Would be great to find alternative source as these were £70 the pair !

Strange seeing as I paid £35+vat for 2 of them from Silverstone TVR .

I thought that was a good price and I'm sure that's what other people have paid too...

If power steering fails a substitute electric pump can be used from a Citroen Saxo. Apparently the hoses fit perfectly. The Tuscan and T350 use this too.

The pump takes about 30A so substantial wiring and relays are required.

This modification can be a cheaper alternative fix if the woodruff key on the pump drive shaft breaks, a known problem with pre-98 cars. Replacing the key and/or shaft means engine removal...

Thanks to Jools for his wisdom on this.

For example, I could have sworn someone figured out the make and equivalent part number for the infamous starter motor, someone else in Australia was of the opinion that the AP clutch plate is same as C5 Corvette, these are gems worth knowing!
[/quote]

Hmmm, the C5 has a large diameter clutch, probably big block diameter! I thought the cerb used a twin plate small diameter clutch, if so it's completely different to the vette.

Boosted.
