Cerbera cooling system expansion tank is from an early 90's Audi 100/A6, see below:

A big thanks to one of the lads over on www.octane.ie who managed to work this one out for us.

Empty alarm fob housings available of this crowd

http://abacuscaralarms.co.uk/alarmshop/index.php?a...

All you need to do is transfer the internals of your fob into a new shell (assuming your fob is working of course).

Presumably they supply the round fobs not the original TVR stamped ones?

Yep the round ones. Had a new set of fobs done plus a new circuit in the old fob when mine went on me. I use the new fob now and keep the TVR one nice and safe.

A couple of alternative part numbers for the handbrake shoes and the fuel filter

The handbrake shoes I got were APEC Braking part number SHU-482

The fittings kit the go with it (springs, etc) is APEC part number 766.

An alternative fittings kit is the Quinten Hazell one BFK-351.

The fuel filter I used is a Bosch one and the number on it is 957.

Also, when fitting the fuel filter the bolt holding it in place will most likely be rusted and have to be cut out so it's a good idea to have an M8 x 50mm stainless steel bolt, 2 x M8 stainless steel washers and an M8 Nyloc nut on hand.
Have just ordered the Peugot 605 handbrake shoes and spring kitting fit for £45 delivered from here....

Not seen this mentioned on this thread before.

Front and rear wheel bearing/hubs (they come as one unit and bearings are non changeable) are from Jeep Grand Cherokee/Wrangler. They are the front hubs from the jeep and fit all corners of the Cerb, Tuscan, Sag, 350.

Google or Ebay 513084 and you will find them around £50 inc shipping from the states. Uk prices are around £140!
What year Jeep? Engine size etc? I think these are available everywhere

Yep, these are Jag items, as used on the XJ6, amongst others, part no.: CAC9937 and Quinton Hazel: QSJ1308S

You do need to 'modify' the new item.

To clear the welds on the wishbone, the edges of the flange on the balljoint are ground away at an angle. here are a couple of pics:

Original Ball joint, note chamfer:

New Ball joint as you buy it:

Modified flange to clear welds on wishbone:

Prices range from £21 a pair to £30 each.

A lot has been said about the difficulty of rebuilding the AJP water/oil pump assembly. I took mine apart for a small water leak and discovered that it's not that hard to rebuild. The oil pump rotors are available from TVR Power Stores off the shelf. Same part as in the S6 engine too I believe.

The ceramic water seals on the pump are part number IHF14.30.14 from City Seals and Bearings on 01142 435 343

the front bearing (the one you can see behnd the cog with the timing cover off) is part number 6201 from same supplier.

the oil seal which is between the water seal and the front bearing is a 16x28x7

The big O ring is a 95mm x 2mm

I didn't need to disturb the rearward water pump but pretty sure the seal etc will be the same. Getting the front impeller off was easy enough with a puller, just warmed it up a bit and it slid off easy enough. looking at the design it would not be rocket science to make new impellers anyway. The vanes are just straight plates so turning a backplate and welding on vanes would be a possibility although if quantities were required a nice CNC job would be better.

I'm just looking at replacing the coils packs on my 4.5.
Has anyone looked at performance/racing ones? They should be more rugged and give a higher output than the standard item!
Failing that, has anyone got the correct Bosch part number?
I'd rather pay a little more for a more reliable item!

There is another UK distributor for BOSCH performance coils aside from BOSCH UK. BOSCH UK dont supply them. I'll try and find the name and let you know mate

Some guy I know got performance ignition coils from Australia. I thought they were a UK company, but he ended up buying a load from BOSCH in Oz. http://www.fiveomotorsport.com - could be an option? Said mate said that they could require setting up too, you might need a trigger or an amp. Now I'm out of my depth smile

Driveshaft CV Joints and boots

For goodness sake don't pay TVR specialist prices for CV Boots. FCB2196 are £5.36 from RoadRunner and if you need the joints themselves they are only £44 from Prolinx

For a post 2002 Cerb with the angled rear plate I THINK that I have found a cheaper supplier of the number plate light fittings:
https://www.btowstore.com/epages/BT2955.sf/sec2zJ4...

I have ordered a couple. TVR parts shops want over £20 (nearly £25) for 2 including expensive postage. £11 all in for 2 from caravan place.
Anyone know if these fit pre angled rear plate cerberas?

Also, does anyone have the RS part number for the big fuse? (Sorry the search function isn't working again).

At least no-one spotted me broken down in the contraflow on the M1!!! paperbag

Cheers

Gazzab,

That's brilliant - thanks!

Any idea on the number plate holder - it looks the same! I'll measure mine tonight.

Cheers
