New Exhaust - More Power

And there was me thinking it made a 'real' 430bhp at SRR.
Didn't it? That wasn't a 4th gear run was it? I'm sure Charlie can confirm, but as Joolz said earlier in the thread, 430 is reasonable for Daggart's car (because of the +20hp from the RR) and his and Charlie's dynos will return pretty much identical results.
Antagnoising them by questioning things that no-one else is disputing really won't help.
Am I the only one who thinks that fighting fair is the only way to do this? Daggart quoted 430hp, Joolz's test mule 420hp. I believe both, though Joolz still have the capability to increase his output by internal mods while Daggart doesn't have that luxury.
Jool's results are absolutely amazing, IMHO, and your comments (as you're associated with him) do him a dis-service.

I do have to add that the current design on induction pipe is by Cyclone1 .. I'm redesigning it at the moment not to increase power but just to make it easier to fit for any mail order customers .. his design works brilliantly .. with a neat trick to dampen down the power curve spiking without harming peak flow figures. It's a very good piece of kit he's come up with.
I just wanted him to get the due credit there.

Trackcar, your buddy Cyclones car made 330bhp odd as std car and my brothers made 403bhp as a std car.My brothers has pulled 455bhp in a fourth gear run so his car is making 50bhp say with all the mods, your claimimg 90.You don't have to go that far back when you were all slating Austecs cars for barely making 400bhp,explain?.
He's selling it - why are you still wound up? Take a chill pill. Your brothers car is fab. Trackcar is great at tuning cerbs. They are all very powerful. So what if one is slightly more powerful? You've got great stickers on your car and that must give a wider audience than you get on here that your car is really fast.

Errr I really don't understand your post at all and it's definitely NOT antagonistic as you state, rather yours is the inflammatory one. Point was (as you missed it, lol) that the 430 figure is from SRR and as such it is a believable figure and I NEVER questioned it so please don't imply that I did. I particularly like the way you only quoted part of the post when the whole was much more important!!!!!!

To be fair, the subtlety of ceejay's post went over my head too but i think he was saying that : seeing as daggart's car has made an independant 430 why is scania still quoting the 4th gear run figures when they don't relate to any other accepted database.
I think.
maybe i'll just goto bed

He must be a journalist, picking and choosing what to quote

Indeedy!!!, Joolz is very talented at what he does and so is the other 'competitors'. Why not just leave it at that. Yes, you all talk about bhp (who's got the biggest nob)etc . However, if the owner feels an improvement and is worth it their eyes, its all good.

If I misunderstood, then I apologise. I probably jumped to the wrong conclusion given the previous threads on the subject. However, if I misunderstood, I'm sure I wasn't the only one so at least my 'inflammatory' post led to you clarifying that.

So you are getting 400bhp, and you haven't done a thing to the engine?
No induction kits etc?
No induction kits etc?
Keep up at the back
Emerald, induction, linked decats, big bore exhaust, high flow filter, modified filter housing, plus some more tweaks coming in the next couple of weeks
I've only ever had one car make over 400bhp with just a remap, so I'm inclined to believe that was something not quite standard underneath. Most make 375-390 remapped with no other mods depending how good it is.
sorry!
Had quite alot done on it then
370-390 on just a re-map thats alot of BHP
Damn this really took off last night????
Meanwhile I was busy drowning in lager and spreading my seed
I reckon when I start pumping, I'm pushing easily 460hp and the sheer twisting force while jamming the rod in has gotta be around the 420lb/ft region! I'll need to get this independendtly tested
Daggarts car is currently the most horsepower for a Cerbie recorded at SRR, and she has been worked on by Austec, externally and internally. Nuff said.
