RE: TVR auctions the last Cerbera
Discussion
they couldn't even make it a red rose.....
poor effort. the last should be the greatest - and gone all out to make it the dogs danglies!. i've also heard some other "unique" cerberas have been made since - for those close friends of NS.
looking forward to its replacemnt, as long as they keep away from the speed 6.

So how long will it be before we get a load of other one-off stuff.
If anyone is mug enough to bid, just make sure you get confirmation that they have an adequate supply of spares, in the unlikely event that the car should break down or require any warranty repairs such as a new engine.

Cerbies and Chims made TVR what they are today. Two great cars, good value for the money and both with a nice kick in the arse when you put your foot down. (not to mention the wonderful growl from the V8 engines !)
Too bad TVR has lost their way .... They still make some nice cars, but not one that I would want.

You do of course mean the Griffith and not the chubby and compromised Chimp.
And this from a BMW driver
I remember a journey to Lemons a few years ago. We were in the Chim and our friends were in a Griff. The wife of the Griff owner said that their car was a sports car whilst ours was merely a grand tourer. How we smiled as we royally kicked their arse along the paege so much so that we had to stop and wait for them to catch up

Purely personal opinion but.....
Is this really worth a premium over other cerbs? The colour does not make the most of the car, and looks a bit odd for such a stunning car.
And I couldn't help but laugh at the "(estimated)" figures on everything from acceleration, to top speed to BHP/Torque. If it is such a one off maybe they could rolling road it before the auction starts.

Yeah I thought that, look at this bit...
TVR said, Fully mapped ignition and injection system with adaptive Lamdba control.
Fully mapped means it has been on the rollers no?
So we should have a proper bhp figure and a chart.
Also
TVR said,Double overhead camshafts with direct cams actuating valves via finger followers
I thought it was a bucket and shim arrangement, the above sounds like a S6 engine to me.
Also agree with Dean, it has to be a Red Rose at least, with my preference on a total balls out 5 litre, maybe with a blower or charger. Then we would be talking turky.

If you don't count the speed 12's in...bosscerbera has the best special factory made Cerbera Boss with 505bhp standard...

and they sais this last also, so there was a very special last Cerbera?!
It was the last Cerbera to leave the factory* - middle photo taken at 7pm 17 Feb 2005 as it left the building.

God allmighty, cheer up, I'm sure there will be lots of folk bidding. Its a fantastic looking car and its the last ever Cerb, and it is for charity - try and look on the bright side.
Good Grief, you miserable bastards. Why don't you take your 'summatfurnuffin' mentality out to Zastava cars where it will be appreciated !!
It is a beautiful car with a (still) impressive performance.
It is English for goodness sake !
Bravo TVR for organising something else to make us all feel like members of a special club rather than a load of also-rans.
Love,
A proud and happy Cerbera owner.
(too broke to bid but loving the feeling of being involved)

Whats so funny about the performance figures? ? slightly optimistic but not that far away from reality.

Indeed BossCerbera's motor is a lovely one-off example, although i do not like those exhausts
If you look at the Boss Cerbera from above, you can see the line carried through from the air intakes to the exhausts. Big in to big out. It's very TVR, on steroids. The Tuscan carries its bonnet bulge through to the boot - the Sagaris is another car that looks great from above.
I wasn't sure about the tailpipes myself when I saw them but they've grown on me - and the crowds in Casino Square went wild for it last week (upstaged a Veyron!). I just did 3,000 hard miles in a week in this car - for something so highly strung, I'm even more impressed by it.
So... this auction is the last chance to get a brand new 4.5...

IMHO the white one is not a patch on yours. But then again Reflex Charcoal
