Anyone here going to PistonFest and taking their little uns, is it a child friendly event? I'm thinking the presence of the beer tent might be a clue! Children are 7 and 2.

We expect a fair number of kids to come along. Mainly on the Sunday though as sitting in a tent with your dad pissed and going on about the good old days before turbochargers will no doubt get a bit boring.

If pet owners must bring animals to the venue, then in accordance with RSPCA guidelines, dogs must wear muzzles, and must be controlled by owners on a lead at all times..

Which RSPCA guideline is this !? muzzle your dog at all times ..!?

The requirement for muzzling is because its a motor racing venue and it's going to be very loud in places and possible quite frightening to some dogs.

Ah, so it IS a child friendly event then. Scared canines will go a long way to keeping my kids amused. They're at the stage where 'poo' of any descrption is fascinating.

Wasn't being funny about it Ted , it just seemed an odd guidline for the RSPCA to come out with..? I didn't realise the RSPCA had guidelines for Dogs at motor racing venues.
