Battery went flat but now fully charged however, the car will start with the alarm armed, via remote start, but won't start, when disarmed, via the start button. Immobiliser light goes off but I get no response from the start button. Now I know most people will say it's the alarm but could it be a relay or fuse? Checked all and look ok but I'm still stuck. Clifford no help, alarm dealer says he can bypass the alarm if I call him out, but I'm still curious if it's a fault elsewhere.

Anyone with Clifford experience that might explain what to do, perhaps offline?

HELP PLEASE !!

If the car will start with the remote function, then I doubt it's a problem with the car electrics.

I've got a Concept 50X (the predecessor to the 600) on my Golf, and all I can think of is that the immobiliser isn't dis-arming properly.... Doesn't help much - sorry

I've got a 50x and the original TVR alarm on my Chimaera, and sometimes you can have problems if the 2 alarms are out of sinc

I have a Clifford on the Mrs Al's car.
Not too sure of the model.
Can you get the alarm into valet mode?

If so, the car should start. If it does start, then you re-arm the alarm. Switch off engine and try to start with it fully alarmed.

Sounds like the alarm to me. but I'm probably wrong.

Thanks for all the replies. Despite all advice from the experts - Clifford, Dealer, the car wouldn't start. However, thanks to PH's I disconnected and reconnected the battery and... I'm off and running.
