Hi Neal,

Have a read through this link;

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0...

It's geared towards when I had my new bigger bore exhaust made/fitted/tested, but I added additional links to earlier mods such as development of the Whirlwind Induction system with Joolz. Have a read through but be warned that most of these threads turned into a bun fight......still makes me chuckle now.,.....

Jules.

Can only be healthy for Cerb owners.
As you know the basic AJP is not that a complicated engine.
Its the subtle tweeks such as improved pin angle, dynamic compression, stronger and lighter reciprocating mass, piston skirt/crown designs, improving oil ways/lubrication and combustion chamber modifications that will truely improve it....................................aided by 45 years of racing engine development, as mine already has hehe

btw its still only at 435hp hehe

Well from the fighting torque results it's obviously very close to Nickcc's hp so sounds about right smile

The very very safe map and boggo 4.2 intakes, not even cleaned out. I might even take the ones off the car myself soon and clean up the bottom of them, that alone would push it up to near if not over the 450 mark hehe. The preparation and the move itself have taken recent priority but I live in hope hehe.

Yep only one more ingredient required to this rather volatile mix. His name rhymes with rash.

It is he, who's name must never be spoken. It is he, who's name is whispered by young children. It is he, who not only goes where angels fear to tread, but has a park bench, and mainly sleeps there.

Oooh. Just got a call from Austec asking me to come see the engine tomorrow for an explination of whats gone wrong (it is to do with the pistons, but I didnt really take it in, will know tomorrow)

There was two bits of good news. It isnt as bad as it could have been and opening him up, they have found some interesting internals, but I feel this all deserves its own thread. I'll post more tomorrow so y'all have your buns ready umkay? wink

Yeah get a move on with this interesting info..............yet another engine ripped open to reveal once mythical internals? Hopefully they are ones that have had an adverse effect on your engines performance and tuning capabilities, as if they are better than normal internals then this would have been shown up in the tuning processes your car has undergone and it should have been a 420++++.....come on spill the beans.....wink

No worries there it'll certainly do that....I am currently on my 4th remap with the thing and it's not getting anymore more powerful!!! I'll get there in the ned though.
