...also had the bonnet go at 150+ on the way to Le Mans this year. Those bonnet lock rods are a joke - I'd only just fitted new ones the week before.

Anyway, managed a good old Le Mans style fix - smashed the plastic handle off a slim screwdriver, filed down the ends a little, then drove it down the middle of the ally rod to reconnect the plastic end cap. No more problems, even at the thick end of the 170s!!
