Are not coming on with the ignition which I think they are meant to. The handbrake light does not even light witht the handbrake on, more concerned with the MiL.

Any ideas ?

Have just tested the handbrake no power to the switch, could be a blown bulb on the MiL, how do you get to it ?

Right...... You'll have to take of the instrument pod cover, take off the cover under the steering column, a wing nut on one side, 10mm bolt on the transmission tunnel.

Then whilst grovelling around on your back in 3 weeks worth of crap, cos you can't be arsed to hoover the floor.......Oh sorry thats just me.

You should then see up in the darkest depths another 2 wing nuts, remove and the cover should lift off

Hopefully then you'll be able to get to the bulb, also a good time to check all the dial ones are OK, and adjust your indicator/rev limit buzzer while you're there.

Hope this helps, and good luck

Thank you will try it tonight, is there a common link between the two bulbs, seem to have a missing fuse in the fuse box about 5/6 one in on the bottom row is empty.

Has the Mil light ever worked since you owned the car?
Does the beeper sound when you indicate?
If the answer is no to both questions ......??!

Pretty sure the MiL light worked, just noticed this morning as it was dark. The indicator beep works ok.

I was worried that an 'ecu' problem was covered up by removing the bulb and turning off the bleep. If the mil light used to work and the bleep works for indicators then I assume you are ok and the problem is just a bulb.

Yes I did think that, I have removed the bottom dash cover withthe 2 wing nuts, I have also removed the top 2 wing nuts and left side will come up but the right side is tight against the door piller and wont move. I have tried to undo the two 13mm bolts holding the fiberglass steering wheel surrond but they turn but dont come out ! what am I doing wrong. Also how do I ajust the beep loudness, could do with going up a bit.

Should come off OK, mine was also glued down, so that may be it. Also make sure that you've taken the correct wing nut off, if I remember there are are couple quite close together, I had the same problem the first time I took mine off and turned out I'd got the wrong one!!!!

You say that you've got a fuse missing also, I've had a look at mine, and all the fuses are in place, however the 5th one along is for the heated rear window and should be a 15amp.

The buzzer is adjusted on a brass coloured potientometer, mine is near the rev counter.
