What's the opinion on using fuel additives such as Redex in Cerbs to flush the injectors etc? Assuming they are cat-friendly?

I have assumed to date that potential damage (unknown) outweighs potential benefits. wouldn't want to break anything

Good question. I have tried redex but problem turned out to be a pot. Also interested to hear if anyone has tried slick 50. It drastically reduced engine noise on an old MGB I had but not sure I want to try this on a cerb without expert advise.

Redex and slick 50 are very different.

Redex is a cleaning agent, will make a lot of smoke as it supposedly cleans stuff up bit I doubt it will really do much good.

Slick 50 is an oil additive which somehow reduces friction, or so they would say. In reality it is unlikely to do any good, do a search on google for..
