The small black headlight switching box thats behind the velcroved flap in the boot on my 99 4.5 has started melt-down.
? is this a tvr part or can it be obtained elswhere.

What do you mean melt down????? And yes they are a TVR only part.

I'm guessing he means the connector has got VERY hot & has started melting (happend to our car 2 months after getting it). The box is made at the factory, so will need to get a new one from there/your dealer, BUT (and this is where you won't like it), you might also find it's cooked the wiring loom to the lights too, so that might need replacing as well (our did/was, but it was all paid for by Warranty)....

Mine did that, dip beam. The connector tags got hot and melted the plastic connector assembly. The board was still OK so It has been rewired with some big old 1/4" spades. Works a treat.

Thanks everyone seems like i,m not alone and its another tvr wiring gremling any idea on cost for the box both the socket and plug on the loom are shot but loom looks o.k.
