Thanks to Julian for servicing the Cerb. The thing felt about a hundred times better driving back, than it did on the way up to Chesterfield.

Did anyone else get stuck in the M40 J9 unpleasantness yesterday?

Point of the post: the service revealed that we've got avo adjustables on the front, and two different (if standard issue) struts on the back. What the previous owner was on I'll never know.

Before the Nitrons get installed in spring '04, I need to make this "set-up" work. Does anyone else run wierd damper combinations? If so, do you soften the front to go with the "soft" standard rear, or keep the front dampers reasonably hard? The thing runs on PP S-02s on 16".

I suspect no-one else has experienced this kind of suspension setup.

As you are getting little in the way of a response I'd suggest having a go your self.

How hard is the front at the mo? It might be worth trying it V hard then V soft then V in the middle take the same route for a test drive make sure you include undulations as well as corners.

You can then find a starting point (ie the set up which is the least pants) start adding or subtracting a couple of clicks doing the route each time until you get it as good as poss.

Of course this is all common sense and not what you were looking for but I thought someone should bother to answer

Your life will be better when you get Nitrons

Thanks David! I don't think Tam Lin has ever looked forward to a birthday so much before - though I can think of more romantic pressies than a set of Nitrons.

Blimey, lucky man the chances of me getting anything that exciting of Mrs D is rather remote.

Are you going to wrap them up

Nope. Joolz is going to fit them for us, and the Cerb would look silly with little bows at each corner.

Matt, are you really saying that you'd prefer a set of spark plugs or a tankful of Shell's Finest to a lovely dinner for two - well, three?! Men.

Sorry to hijack your thread, Sean. But you should see what you're getting for Christmas!!
