CAT C DAMAGED CERB F/S ON HERE ANYONE KNOW IT?
Discussion
Well when it was for sale last time I remember seeing the advert on Joolz's noticeboard, I don't know if he had anything to do with it, but I wouldn't have though Joolz would have an advert for a 'rough one' in his workshop
But that bonnet has go to de-value it because even if you like it when you come to sell it you've got to find someone else that does and is happy with the history
But the more I look at that bonnet the more it grows on me

Car was advertised in June and sold last time with
18,800 on the clock.
Strangely classed as Cat D damage in the last advert?
Price has been dropped by 2K and the mileage has also
gone up by 1200.
Perhaps the deal fell through?
Go create some weather...

Unless there's some smart ducting going on, I'm pretty sure all that'll happen is the air will come in the vent under the bumper and go straight out the bonnet vent. The only way I could see this working to extract hot air from the engine is if the vent under the front bumper was blocked off. Messing around with the airflow in the engine bay is a bad idea, IMHO.
I think the vented bonnet looks great and it must help with keeping that V8 monster cool !!!
I have a big scoop like that on the 520. What it does is allow the air to flow through the rad and out of the engine bay so that a very good air flow is achieved. In the 520's case it was too good and I had to virtually block off the rad to get the car upto working temperature. Similar designs were used for the GT40 and Lotus Elise.
Your right gaz. A car which has been written off but repaired should be signficantly cheaper than a normal straight car. I think that both the 4.5 I have mentioned above and the 4.2 are overpriced. But at the end of the day its down to the buyer and what somebody is willing to pay...

I don't know. I can just see the engine itself being sat in a load of stagnant hot air.
To be 100% honest I have additional air flow that goes over the engine to stop the stagnation and a 3-4 inch gap at the back of the bonnet to allow this air to escape.
You are right that any mods need very very careful consideration.
