Is it absolutely, positively, a must have in a Cerbera?
Is it any good or is it like someone blowing over an ice cube?
Would you walk away from a car without it, even if everything else was 'right' or use it as a bargining tool?
How much is it to retro fit by TVR, or by A N Other Air Con Specialists?

Morning Raceboy, I would say from brief experience its a must have, the heat generated is unreal, I have only had my car since early Oct but have had to use the Air con a fair bit. It is veru effective, I was suprised at how good it is, was prepared for dissapointment. Not sure on cost for retro fit you'd have to ring one of the boys - reading between the lines you've fallen in love with one that hasn't got it, am I right?
Not seen it yet and got a few calls to make to check if it's a 'good un' or not but the colour/spec is right and the price is fair, but everyone seems to say 'you've got to have air con' I'd just open a window and it's only a weekend toy so I wouldn't be sitting in traffic in it much, it's got to be worth a few extra HP having it off
I've had my Cerb for 3 years, as an only car WITHOUT a/c, and I don't find it a problem. There have only been a few occassions when I have wished I had it, and that is when stuck in traffic jams in the summer. As you rightly say, just drive everywhere with the windows down, so you can appreciate the luvely noises!

I bought my car new, and specced air con as I was advised that not having it would badly affect the resell value. I didn't get it because I thought I would actually need it.
It has been useful, particularly over the last summer, but only occasionally to be honest.
If I was buying secondhand, the presence of air-con would be fairly low on my priority list. The fact is, you just don't need it that often in the UK. It's heavy too!

Raceboy, is this the yellow 4.2 Cerb for sale at an independent in Yorks area? if it is I spoke to Rob Ingleby about this car a couple of weeks ago, it sounds a nice car in that the owner has spent a lot on Mods etc, but as Rob said, the fact that it is yellow and doesn't have aircon would leave a fairly limited market for resale.
I think the guy selling it had up for sale for a long while, and was getting offers of around 13-14k in the trade for it.
I personally think yellow looks nice but i would be worried about how many people would think the same about a yellow Cerb without air con at resale time?
Good luck with the search, you won't regret buying one whatever you choose!!

Thats the one
I know what you mean about resale but I'd be more tempted to just say 'sod it' to safe resales and just go for in-your-face loud, I'm guessing Cirvy would agree with me on that one
Wouldn't it be a dull world if we all had Blue/Silver cars no offense to anyone with a blue or silver car
Good to know alkl this info though as it gives me plenty to play with if I go and see it, and do a deal

Raceboy,
I have seen this car at Joolz, - I would suggest you speak to him as to whether it is good or bad...
He's on my to ring list today, the seller told me the previous service was at Joospeed and mine's booked in at Joolz soon anyway and he's only a Junction up the M1 from me
Surprised that yellow (halcyon midas, giallofly, camel, sunset..etc..) are seen as less than desirable given the number of cars so specced?
I am in the process of working out a move from Tuscan to cerb. although i understand colours like lambo orange and lambo viola (all seem to be lambo colours!!) and chianti are low on the must have list, yellow seem's quite popular.
Aren't most of the press shots seen on this site and others of a 4.5 yellow cerb?
Imperial and starmist blue seem very, very popular and later cars in crystal topaz look like they command a premium.
Anybody gone from Tuscan to cerbera?...Thought's?

Good boy Singh, seen as you're local, you're more than welcome a ride in mine if you ever need that assurance!!

I thought YES for resale value but I used my A/C once in 10,000 miles, apart from the turn it on once a week/month routine. You'll find the cabin will get very very hot in the summer but no need for A/C cos you'll have the windows down most of the time
I would rather spend the money on Nitrons or a CRG if buying from new, IMHO.
Oh and RACEBOY, you'll find out very soon that it's not just a weekend toy 'NJOY!!
