Is it absolutely, positively, a must have in a Cerbera?
Is it any good or is it like someone blowing over an ice cube?
Would you walk away from a car without it, even if everything else was 'right' or use it as a bargining tool?
How much is it to retro fit by TVR, or by A N Other Air Con Specialists?
Think it's all been said already, but... Mine has aircon, and I turn it on once every couple of weeks just to keep it all running fine. I've only felt the need to use it once when stuck in traffic on the way to Bruntingthorpe this summer, and it's not the most effective air-con ever. As has been said, driving around with the windows down is far more fun and cheaper. It may well affect resale values though, probably more so on cars that are pricier to start with. I'd probably try and use it to haggle on price a bit if I were you, but I'd not turn down an otherwise perfect car because of it.
Now I've just got to figure out how to make the heater work even better in Winter so I don't ever have to close the windows.

Yes
Budget 3-4 grand for a retro fit as the car is virtually dismantled IIRC.
You recall incorrectly steve, budget double that figure and then some!! cars without aircon have no front pulley and a different (shorter) crankshaft, if you're retro fitting you either need to rebuild the engine with the correct crank or buy another engine!!
