Watched an 05 Cerb go through Blackbushe auction today

Picking up this thread rather than the one on the TVR General I have just agreed to buy this rather lovely Cerb.
Harry, there is a paint code hand written in the handbook which I managed to forget to make a note of. It's something like R 2683, but when I collect it on Saturday I'll post it up. It does look a lot like the Ferrari grey.
I confess I have taken a bit of a punt on the chassis being OK, based on age and mileage, and it hasn't had lots of work in recent years as it's been used very lightly. But by gum does it drive nicely! Tight, solid, well damped, doesn't wander, doesn't rattle, and the throttle response is fabulous. Really quite different in that respect to the 4.5 I had a few years ago which was very lazy at lower revs. But it's also really smooth and not hard work at low speed like my Griff 500 (which is now for sale incidentally!).
I couldn't see masses wrong with the paint matching at the front, but you never know until you've seen it in different light conditions. But it is a very smart car with a lovely and well cared for interior, and inevitably 'it had me at hello'...
For the purposes of valuation debate, I am paying £25k, so according to Sprint I have been well and truly trousered!!

To be honest I didn't really notice an issue. The colour may have faded a little but they didn't stand out as shabby, and well away from that stage where they start to unstick themselves and disintegrate. The drivers foot well mat could to with replacing as the rubber/vinyl heel pad section is worn, but even then I've seen much worse.
Been looking at one today, on a 51 plate for the same price.....so you grabbed a bragain. I just saw this grey one in autotrader today too!
I went today to look at Tuscan'S' and possibly T350 and ended up loving the cerb 4.5 instead. Prices seem to of climbed a bit since i sold my last TVR 5 years ago
