Stainless wheel nuts, although all the nuts were replaced at the last service as well as the studs

before

After

Also replaced the allen bolts for the windscreen panel with some knurled thumb screws, didn't like the look of the steve heath ones so sounds some others online, stainless steel of course

Also replaced most of the F1 panel allen bolts and cup washers,

Before

After

Also went went to replace the dash bulbs, i had already ordered some from the threads on here, but when i come to the speedo, and rev counter i have different push in bulbs, so going to order some more, put one in the temp/oil gauge and am happy with the blue, had nice blue in my ZT which i used to like.

Also adjusted my exhaust to get it centred in the cut out better, glued my carpet back in having pulled some up to find my leak, with was the door seal again in the end, even having replaced it and sealed it, sorted with more sealer, and one nice dry cerbera, and its been well tested over the last few days.

Link for the thumb screws top, they do both 316 and 303 grade stainless, but this is reflected in the price too, you have to register on the site to view the prices but the ones i brought are 303 grade stainless and where £9.98 each, i also got some nylon washers off of ebay so that they don't sit directly on the panels.

I'm keeping hold of the nuts as they fit my jeep and the nuts are looking crappy on that.

I've got the Steve Heath ones, enough to do both the front and rear panels.

I've glued some rubber feet onto the top so that the bonnet rests on them so it doesn't vibrate anymore.

Peter,

Do you have the sizes of all the bolts you changed under the bonnet... My Cerbera never came with any! The windscreen panel just sits there and the lower panel in front of the engine has never been fitted... came in the boot...

Would love to order the correct ones and get everything as it should be!

Thanks Rich

the knurled thumb screws were about £9 each, they were stupidly priced for what they are especailly as i made one at work to replace a lost one in less that half hour.

How many do you want and i'll make you some for the cost of the material and postage as i need to make some spares any way but will be cheaper than £9 as labour is free, make them at work, just the material to get.

They are M6 if i remember correctly.

Lenght wise for the other bolts i'm not sure. i would have to remove some to find out.

If you can hold on a couple of days i need to clean my steering linkages up as its become notchy so will be removing the panel and can find out?

Peter what bulbs did you find? I managed to replace my oil/ temp with 10mm 501 quad led Which worked well but also found that my speedo seems to be a 5mm push fit which i hadnt ordered. ( now ordered 286 5 mm wedge base)
When I got to the clock and amp gauge they seem to be a 7mm 233 type.
I had 2 x 233 T4w but they don't seem to work, I wondering if the wattage is to high?
Which bulbs have you fitted to the clock and amp gauge?
Would appreciate your feed back
Darren

I can't remember the bulbs i got in the end. I brought the ones that were posted on here. the only difference was that my speedo being the digital type was different.

I think this was the speedo bulb, although not sure what one it was,

Thanks for that, I've got the digital speedo and have today ordered the same.
It turns out that my clock and fuel gauge had the polaritys the wrong way round, this wouldn't matter for
Standard pin bulbs but with LEDs the poles have to be correct, Ie - on the surround and + to the bottom.
Thanks for the response, pics look great.

Thread resurrection time:

During my respray my Steve Heath knurled knobs (snigger) have gone AWOL. Having a poke around WDS' website (unless anyone can recommend a better alternative?), white size thread do I need? (M8 M10 etc) and any idea of min or max lengths?

Cheers

They are m6 . Length wise mine are about 25mm but could always get longer ones and cut them to suit.

I know they're AWOL dude, the thing is I don't see why you should rectify it, that should be done for you.

Gorgeous !!

Also replaced the allen bolts for the windscreen panel with some knurled thumb screws,

Quite confused here. Can't get to BlackBeauty to check at the mo' but where, exactly, are these located ?
(Have you get a pic with more bodywork in the same picture so that I can locate 'em ? Ta !)

Also replaced most of the F1 panel allen bolts and cup washers,

Brilliant ! Need some of these to top-up my set ( and colour-coded ? scratchchin ? )

...., which was the door seal again in the end, even having replaced it and sealed it, sorted with more sealer, and one nice dry cerbera, and its been well tested over the last few days.

Another interesting point for me here: My door seal WAS ab-fab for several years but recently it broke. At the time a flat, metal something-that-appeared-lie-a-carpet-tack dropped onto the floor.

It disappeared. Do you have any experience in these car door seal tacks ?

Peter
