Personally ill echo the comments already made .... the 06 models are definitely worth the extra if you can push to it ...better suspension, better clutch, more power, freeer revving engine, better gearing all goes to make a better all round car... adn personally 69k for an 04 is EXPENSIVE.... sold my 05 SE (MY06 spec testbed) for that money and it was 1) a special edition 2) a year newer

Had an 08 spyer since as well and loved thme both ..its an experience that has richened my pleasure of driving

As for the colour i had grigio proteus and i have to say in the flesh it looks lovely (especially as i ahd the SE spec so wheels were same colour) - then had grigio lynx after whcih is brighter and more mainstream but the proteus was a real stealth like colour ..loks the mutts with yello calipers...good luck !

biggrin Hey thanks guys.
Due to waiting on the v5 (private plate being removed)which seems to take forever, done three
in the last 6 weeks rolleyes this then screws up your tax and insurance so trying to be patient.
So i had prodrive deliver it.So is now tucked up in my garage.
RSC bumper, full exhaust, are on the need listbiggrin

Matt,i will need some advice and will have a few general spyder questions at some point.
oh and i`m liking the car matey, carbon ,....nice.

Anyway i don`t want to hijack the thread so come on guys can we try and get the op a car.
maybe throw out a few prices for what we think is reasonable for 06 coupes.

Can i just say there may be people reading this thread that can only go to an 04 ,maybe an 05
they are great cars, just try and get one with good s/history.
Some cars out there have been run on a shoestring.
Cheers

http://www.topgear-cars.co.uk/popup2.php?id=414

i know the stiffness is not compromised by the spyder, but does the weight penalty alter the car's handling.....?

Hi,that last one has been around a while too.
Your going exactly where i went, trouble i had was cars around 86-92k
were tempting, but if you then put a little more in,you get a real good choice.

After 7 weeks odd of looking at 100-110k cars it became "normal" biggrin
The 06 i got just popped up and within two mins of reading the add i knew it was
a good deal for me.
Has all the bits on it i wanted, mileage a tad higher, but overall very happy.
The manuals should be cheaper than egears, like for like.

What usually happens to me is the RIGHT car comes up two weeks after i have just
purchased the best car at that time.

So you may want to go over what the right car is for you again and the maybe workout
what your happy to compromise on.
cheers.

They have a few cars there, might be worth a trip ,
but could be SOR so might not be available all in one location.

Thanks. If yours has tiranium calistos with yellow calipers then it's a deal!

Is there a big diff between the grigio shades? Is is a good and popular colour?

Colour is very much in the eye of the beholder, but the Grigio colours will never date, so we're always safe with them from a commercial point of view.

I sold the car over a year ago through redline and they bought it back from the last owner for almost the same money I got for it.
