MP4-12C photos and review/comparison

Not been in a 458 I'm afraid.... I have been in a fair few super cars now though, and I have to say, I really liked the noise of the Mclaren. There are 3 different settings for ride/drive. The exhaust note changes for each one. The first - I guess best described as a 'comfort setting', it sounds pretty good but a little quiet in the cabin. The other 2, it sounds brilliant. Nice deep throaty noise in the cabin.
I know there were some negative reviews regarding engine/induction noise, but I really liked it - the owner wasn't holding back either!
According to the owner, the one thing he isn't happy with, is the softness of the suspension on the first setting, its a setting which is slightly more mellow in throttle sensitivity, and i think boost. On a damp cold road like yesterday it was his preference. However, the suspension is at its softest, and a couple of times at speed we bottomed out. The brake cooling ducts apparently scrape the deck.

Tell him not to worry,it looks like he has standard brakes, these do not come with brake cooling ducts, what he is scrapping are the front air deflectors, under extreme contact they are designed to come off without damaging the bodywork.Mclaren expect this to happen alot as they have priced them accordingly .The one i ripped off only cost £28 and is easy to fit, thought about giving it to a friend to sell on ebay for charity but it dosent have a mclaren monica!!I know there were some negative reviews regarding engine/induction noise, but I really liked it - the owner wasn't holding back either!

I'm intrigued to know who you think it is as you both appear to be in England and it's a Scottish car, owned by a rather discrete person.Took delivery of this last month. Absolutely in love, with IRIS being the only real niggle. It is just such a great road car, so nimble, capable, fast, and fun to fly. The brake steer is etherial.
Not a big PHer but ran across the article on the MTC 12C owner's visit and thought I would share.
Even got a little track time under the belt in it.
