mhh said: I sat in my first MP4 today - brand new car. Very nice. I couldn't close the door though. It wasn't an air pressure issue, because the other door was open. I slammed it pretty hard but it just wouldn't close... How's the salesman's hand?

Is that your truck up on the driveway as well? Those are great fun in a totally different way. Thanks! Yep an F350 dually quad cab. Good for towing race cars. I have a couple of other English derivatives as well, Radical sr3rs and Rossion Q1 (read Noble M400). Cheers!

Nope, the usual blue on the mclaren 12C I know of is Azure Blue (there is a 'standard blue' but it is navy). I'm not sure the name of Flemke's blue but it is not metallic and is dark whereas Azure is bright and metallic. I think Standard Blue would be much closer to Flemke's colour but imagine that it could be unique to his car.
ETA: the blue on the previous page is Standard Blue, I believe.

Reguarding the colour Volcano orange does anyone know a paint code or roughly how much a litre it is. Don't think my local Mclaren Dearler will just let me walk in to ask. Would think its appointment only. Tried searching a few times but obviously with it being rather new there is not much info on it.

Anyone expecting a silver one from Rybrook Bham?
Had a nose round it sat outside their service place in Cofton, first one I've had a decent look round. Build quality looks fantastic. Spec sheet/price was left in the passenger footwell as a reminder to work harder...
Very impressed.

I know it sounds like a fortune, £1000 a litre, but you dont need very much to paint a small area. Had similar scare story with Nissan Ultimate Silver (The expensive option colour for GTRs ) but even though it cost a fortune per litre the repair was still a moderate amount of money.

I saw this in Scratchwood service station. I've seen a couple of MP4-12C on the M1 previously. On each occasion it looks like a McLaren employee with a prospective customer. Anyone know where they are going to/from. PS. The Ducati in the 2nd photo is mine. I figured that if the McLaren driver can park where he feels like, so can I.

Hopefully when I may need some the info maybe easyer to find, though I did here a rumour that Mclaren will not issue the paint and keep it inhouse only and for repairs etc
