Bertie- on Fchat many of the people he ripped off have posted including the one who filed the petition for winding up. One has consolidated the figure at circa £230K (that they know off). You can read Fchat for comments on multiple bank accounts, Vat issues etc, private investigators. But hey sounds like a nice fella who just had a rough spot rolleyes
Yep, also read of none of the companies he was involved with holding any money. It was all moved into a sole trader account and all the companies were filed as making £0. Clearly knew he needed to do this (and knew what he was doing) in order to scam and hide his money. Hence, as above, need for investigators and so on.

Yeah, nice guy. Idiot if he thinks he is going to get away with it.

Blimey £230k eek

So the £49k covered by the CCJs was only the tip of the iceberg.

Other customers who haven't come out of the woodwork and those that don't do online.

Prob owes 500k+

What's a shame is that they will continue trading, people will continue using them and they will just do it again...

This isn't about a good guy and bad luck.

Bad luck to all who've lost money. Maybe even the subject of this thread? Guessing he didn't start a company to kill it.

Ling live freedom of speech here.
Hope anyone who burns customer assets to keep themselves afloat feels the approriate hand of Karma soon after. Not sure many people could set up another company before the first one died, leaving loads of people in debt, just to cover their yellow cowardly arse.

Why is it that a certain section of Society think they can just ignore the rules of the land, and seemingly try and con people ..... and mostly seem to get away with it.
It seems its hardly the first time he's done it.

Thank the communist government you lot voted for over the last 13 years. You know that in monetary terms New Labour did more damage to the UK than the Luftwaffe.

"you" as in the British voting public...from the old maxim "the people get the governments they deserve..."

Bankrupcy laws and all that...the communists made it much easier for the "hard working honest" men of Britain to declare bankrupcy and reset themselves in new businesses....and at they same time create taxation vehicles allowing billions of taxes to be sheltered by media and sport organisations whilst stealing more taxes from the job providers of the land...

...rant off...

Lots of slagging off on this post but no-one has come up with the facts. Just because you read something on FChat etc doesn't mean it's true. State the facts if you know them for everyone to see.

"Northampton CCBC Nov 2008"

The dubious honour of owning that debt belongs to me...

Chased this shyster for 3 years now spending £1000's in fees on warrants, hearings and associated expenses. Deep down I guess I knew he would wriggle out of this somehow, but unfortunately for me I wasn't prepared to just let it go.

The £5k he owes me is less significant than some of the sums being discussed on FChat, but it's enough to make me very angry. It also rankles big time that he is able to treat his Customers so badly yet continue to have such a "good" name on places like PH. I watched a few threads on Verdi get created then closed / deleted under the "naming & shaming" rules, knowing full well most of the criticism was totally justified.

Ah well, onwards and upwards...

Its the British way, put it this way there isn't even a provision for attempted fraud...let alone basics as "failure to give aid"...which is a criminal offence in most countries (except US and UK).

I'm very sorry to hear that, I have been in a few similar situations over the years and it is incredibly frustrating that the entire "system" supports and protects such people. On the flipside, if you made fraud truly illegal the unemployment rate would shoot to 60%.

Are you seriously supporting Verdi, given the facts of numerous succesful judgements and an undefended winding up position? How do you defend a person selling someone's car and then keeping the money? And not just one person either? It beggars belief that anyone consider this thread to be "slagging off".

You must either be Verdi or associated with him - which is it?

Are you related to Karl or something? (not something I would admit).
The facts have been demonstrated VERY clearly.

Unless Companies House are also into making things up, there are 4 uncleared CCJs dating back to 2007....

The Verdi name used to be synonymous with supercars. Growing up i would hear the name or see it plastered across a supercar mag and look in awe at the cars for sale....

How times change...

I used them once for the Quattroporte, a friend recomended them. I never used them again, to say they were s$it is to call Little and Large a bit not funny (5 points for anybody who remebers that quote).

Subsequently my friend (who recomended him) got stung pretty hard.

To date the only dealer that I have liked is Bill McGrath, but they won't do Ferraris and won't do newer Maseratis. Shame.
