Would Ferrari rebuild the F40, or Lamborghini rebuild the Miura? The fact that The Zonda is still being made against the odds says it all. Pagani does bespoke cars of the highest order - he should be commended for living his dream.

As an entrepreneur I 100% understand why Pagani didn't accept the 200M € offer. (The same goes for Angry Bird which received an insane offer as well, which they turned down). The company and the brand becomes a part of you - this is very difficult to understand and explain until you have done it yourself. It's like working on a car and perfecting it for years and getting attached to it - when you're happy with it and can afford to keep it, why would you sell it? It's not like Pagani Automobili is struggling with sales compared to Mosler, Koenigsegg and the likes - if he's loving what he's doing, and it's paying his bills and then some (notice his watches, not cheap stuff) I really can't see any reason to sell the company/brand.
(On the other hand, I'm still WTF-ing around regarding the Instagram sale)
As someone who's educated in marketing communications, building a car brand that is so young (5-10x younger than Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari++) and make it so desirable that even F40 owners lust for Zondas, is perhaps the grandest task of them all. I dare anyone here to create a similar high-end hypercar brand with the same amount of money and education Mr. Pagani has put in to it. He goes far beyond passion, art and material tech; he's an extraordinary business man as well - otherwise Pagani Automobili would not existed today.
I hope Pagani stays as a family brand. His sons are working in the company. I'm certain Mr. Pagani will pass on majority of his passion and skills to the next generation. He should keep mooning his behind to Lamborghini and Ferrari.
Sincerely,
another Pagani nut.

Future Pagani baseball caps, t-shirts, watches etc....maybe that was the idea given the buyer. hes got orders for 80 Huayra with out the press even getting hold of a car and is/has just doubled his production capacity and as you say how much is the growing brand worth for a company that makes ferrari look like bmw
