Fantastic cars. Rather shamelessly, here is a vid. I took from the passenger seat of a friends Scud at the RMA trackday at Spa recently. There's a couple of interesting cars in the vid. also. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ecZwLHiTCo2nd to 3rd gearchange after the chicane just entering the start/finish straight is brutal. How the gearbox copes I've no idea. edit: Here's one with some Challenge cars and an F50 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcuIWCe4Ty8

Wot, not flat through Eau Rouge ?! What a corner though. Going to watch this year's F1 race from the grandstand there with my 9 year old son - I think his eyes and ears will be on max overload! Must have been quite a sight coming across a GTO at (almost!) full chat at Spa.

The driver was rather timid (early on the brakes and late on the throttle) as confirmed by the 458 overtaking him at massive speed

The GTO is/was a 275 GTB. The 458 was a Challenge car on slicks. The driver of the scud normally takes eau rouge flat...in his Radical SR3 RS.

AndrewD said: Very good video and ill be watching it a few times before racing there in October. The chap in the Scud obviously isnt trying through Eau Rouge but how fast could a capable driver take through such a car in dry conditions, is it just a lift?

I've watched this thread with interest and bated breath as all the time I've been negotiating to buy an F430 Scud 16M. I can now come clean having paid the deposit today Spa certainly helped

In my friends defence (not that he needs it), it was a trackday, we were there to enjoy the following day and the car was needed as transport to get home to the UK.

My post was not meant to say that your friend is not a capable driver, maybe he is? But its quite obvious that he was not trying to get anywhere near the cars upper limits. Does anyone know how much grip a road spec scud has through there? From the clips iv seen I would say a lift in 5th is definitely needed but iv watched drivers backing off 100>ft before the bottom? Boshly well done it took me 2 years to finally buy, though is that 3 cars that you have deposited on, all 3 cars are great mind but the 16m and the scud are by far the best!! Id say the radical clip is the one that's inspiring me to take the scud.
