The Zonda would just edge it against the Agera. Like a couple of posters have already said the Zonda has that mystique and Italian quality to it's name. Unique and different from owning a Ferrari/Lambo and even with the low production and massive second hand costs without excessive depreciation the Zonda has clearly left it's mark so much so Pagani is struggling to promote the Huayra in the same fashion. One of my personal favourites is the Zonda R and the related road versions as the 760RS.
I don't discount the latest Koenigsegg being somewhat superior though. At least technically. As for Bugatti. Fantastic achievements and a tech tour de force but I really think the styling of the exterior is very substandard and it's not a surprise a fair amount view them as ugly.

Yep! you should have, at 22k miles it was just run in, Zonda's with over 50k miles are common with a few into he 100's now. The engine is bullet proof. Price on that car now would be about £500K

Desirability I would say, if there is one hypercar that would appear in more top 5 lists than probably any other hypercar I would say its the Zonda. The other two have issues that have been discussed on here at length

So with, it seems at least, many new entrants into this price bracket - how does that change the dynamic?
We will shortly see the new Macca, Porsche and Enzo replacement not to mention delivery of the new Pagani - where would you spend the mythical cash?
For me the proposed hybrid technology scares me silly, and I want to like the cars without gizmos more as I see them somewhat 'purer', I'm not a fan of the overcomplicated electronics that can make these cars easier to drive fast but often detract from the fun element. So for me I'd still plump for a Zonda.

So for me I'd still plump for a Zonda. I agree with you, but as much as I love the new McLaren and the new Pagani I am a bit of an old school purest. I have driven the likes of the Ferrari 458 and it is a very impressive machine. But I cannot drag myself away from the fact that a huge proportion of its dynamic ability is down to the use of the huge computing power it has. It does not demand anything from me as a driver; as long as you have the guts to keep your right foot planted it will throw you down the road at silly speeds without the fear of disappearing into the nearest hedgerow. These next generation supercars are so fast that manufacturers cannot depend on the skill of the driver anymore, we are just not good enough. You might as well be driving a remote control car. They are the automotive equivalent of the Eurofighter Don’t get me wrong cars like the 458 are great fun, but if like me you come from a background of manual gearboxes, lack of traction control and stability systems then you pine for cars like the Zonda. Its traction control is rudimentary at best, it has no stability systems and it has a proper manual gearbox. And to top it all off one of the great NA engines. But with all these perceived disadvantages it is still regarded as one of the best drivers ever made due to the fact that it has a fundamentally well balanced chassis that does not require a computer to keep it on the black stuff Add the fact that I still think it’s the best looking supercar ever built means given a choice it is still my number one

Why is that relevant to anything he said? Because if it was all those things then surly it would also be the most desirable, and if that was the case people would be snapping them up and the values would hold steady or increase, the fact is the opposite is happening in a major way. That's just my opinion by the way...
