At the risk of incurring the wrath of fellow PH ers, I'm with the pedestrians here. Not really understood why people rev up their engines this way to "film".....especially in built up n congested areas with lots of pedestrians where elderly or children who least expect it could be scared.

Sounded German to me.No complaints with the revving - if you're sat in a traffic jam and someone with a kid asks to hear the engine I think most would oblige.
The reaction was OTT though, and the driver could have dealt with it better using a little humility.

agree, some consideration for other peoples comfort around you is one of the big social declines imo, there's a right time and place & the middle of town is not either. good on the pedestrian for telling him.rdbrooksie said:
